🟡 Dean’s Corner – Work Hard, Play Hard at MIS!
As we approach the end of the school year, we’re excited to celebrate all the growth and hard work our students have shown! At MIS, we’re launching Fri-May — a month of fun Friday activities to reward students for staying focused, respectful, and responsible throughout the week. Students who meet behavior expectations will enjoy exciting outdoor or themed events each Friday in May. Those who do not earn the reward will complete a reflection sheet during that time to help them reset for success. Our goal is for %100 of students to be a part of our Fri-May time!
A friendly reminder: Being on time is key to a successful day!
Students may arrive at school starting at 8:21 AM. Doors open for entry at 8:37 AM, and our school day officially begins at 8:40 AM. Arriving on time ensures your child is prepared, settled, and ready to learn from the very start.
Let’s finish the year strong—together we can work hard and play hard! 🎉

A message from Principal Mrs. Czarnecki
Dear MIS Families,
We’re so proud of all the hard work our students have shown so far this year—and we’re excited to finish the school year strong together! The next couple of months will be filled with important learning, fun activities, and many opportunities for your child to continue growing both academically and socially.
Students will soon be participating in MAP testing, and we know they’ll continue to give their best effort in showing their growth they made this school year. . You can help set them up for success by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school with their Chromebooks fully charged. We’re excited to see the growth our students have made this year!
We’re also looking forward to Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5–9—a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible teachers and staff who support our students every day. We welcome families to join us in showing their appreciation in any way that feels meaningful—kind notes, emails, or small gestures all go a long way in making our staff feel valued and supported.
At MIS, we continue to encourage and model our Medinah Code of Conduct each day:
We are Safe
We are Caring
We are Respectful
We are Responsible
As always, your support from home helps us reinforce these important values, and we truly appreciate the teamwork between school and home.
Please continue to check your emails and school communication for upcoming events and important dates, as the end of the school year brings many exciting activities and celebrations.
Thank you for your continued support—we are grateful for our partnership with you!
