Counselor’s Corner - A message from Mrs. Linn and Mrs. Beasley
It’s hard to believe that August has come to an end and September is here! We are off to a great start here at Stony Creek! We have enjoyed being in classrooms for counselor introduction lessons during the month of August. This year, Mrs. Linn is the school counselor for grades K, 2, 4 and Mrs. Beasley, formerly Miss Williams, is the school counselor for grades 1, 3, 5. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns as we are here to support your child academically, socially and emotionally!
This month, we will begin our classroom bullying prevention lessons. Each school year, all students in grades K-12 must receive age appropriate, research based education on bullying prevention prior to October 15th per Indiana Code 20-30-5-5.5. Students will receive this education through a curriculum created by Second Step, which will be presented by the school counselor. If you have questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Linn or Mrs. Beasley.
We look forward to partnering with you for a wonderful year!
