Dear Sabre Families,
I hope everyone had a nice May long weekend - there was plenty of warm weather and this upcoming week calls for needed precipitation. We are exactly one month away from the final day of classes and we know how time will fly during these final weeks of the school year.
Our students have been wonderful during this unforeseen time. Learning online is not something we envisioned when we started in September and we miss our Sabres dearly. Our students have persevered through adversity and displayed true grit and resilience. We know that this has not been an easy time for families so continue to let us know how you are doing or if you require any additional resources. While academia is one component of what we are currently focused on, wellness and looking out for each other is also a priority at Sal and will remain so once we are back to classroom based instruction.
On another note, Color Night which honors our student athletes and coaches will be postponed to the fall. While we will announce athletic award winners starting next week through our social media sites, we will host our athletes along with all of our academic and scholarship winners at a later time to be determined.
Also, any current Grade 10 or 11 students that are working or volunteering during the month of June and into the summer are eligible and can receive credits toward graduation.
