Dear Indian Trail Families,

This is certainly a difficult time for everyone in our region. Our section of Johnson City was very fortunate compared to other communities that are so close by. I've been in contact with the principals from Unicoi County Middle, TA Dugger Junior High, West Side Elementary, and Harold McCormick Elementary. I let them know that our thoughts and prayers are with them and our school community will be here to help when they need it. My heart is broken for so many.

As far as ITMS goes, we are moving our kids forward and back to a normal schedule as we close in on Fall Break. We had our Orchestra concert and it was outstanding! Our girls soccer team closed out the regular season undefeated (there will be no tournament)! XC had several student-athletes make it to State, and our girls volleyball team continues to advance through the tournament as the number one seed.

Our grading period for the first quarter ends this Friday, October 4th. However, Checkpoints have been postponed until after Fall Break and those scores will be counted in the first quarter grading period. Please remember that checkpoint scores will not lower a students grade. Final grades are due by October 18th and will be posted on PowerSchool by Wednesday, October 23rd. We will not print report cards this year unless we get a specific request. If you have any questions about any of these topics, please call our front office at 423-610-6000.
