Indian Prairie Education Foundation = IPEF We Need You to Walk/ Run!
Our district education foundation sponsors many programs and events and provides grants across the district. Coming up is the Fine Arts Festival in May that they sponsor. To raise funds, each year Team IPEF participates in the Naperville 1/2 Marathon. !/2 of the funds raised by our school team go to IPEF, and 1/2 comes back to our building. Patterson does not have a team yet!! We are looking for some walkers or runners to participate and start our team! Register Today and select Patterson as your school!
Beat the May 1st Price Increase – Register with Team IPEF Today!
Beat the Endeavor Health price increase on May 1st and register for Team IPEF 2024 before THIS Tuesday, April 30th! Run, walk, and raise funds as a Team IPEF Charity Hero in the Naperville Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K on October 20th. 50% of funds raised go to your favorite IPSD 204 school and 50% to IPEF-funded district-wide programs. The goal is to have a team at every school, so gather your friends and family to register and join the fun!

The Bluestem Bookworms will be representing Patterson placed 3RD PLACE! at the Crosstown Battle against 17 other 204 elementary schools! Congratulations to Mia, Jordan, Prayag and Adi! We are all so proud of you. ALSO first ever 3rd grade team to place at Crosstown!

PE Roller Skating Is Going Great!
Roller Skating began last week and continues this week. The kids have been having a blast! We appreciate the volunteers that have came in to help us get started. We are rolling into another week of skating, please make sure your student has a pair of socks available each and every day.
Not Returning to Patterson Next School Year?
If your student is not returning next year to Patterson (moving out of our district or school boundary) please fill out the 2024-2025 Transfer & Withdrawal form and return it to the office. This does not apply to our Fifth grades who are moving on to Greggory M.S.

Parent University: Becoming an Elementary School Parent
Parent University: Becoming an Elementary School Parent
Parent University: Becoming an Elementary School Parent is an interactive presentation geared toward incoming kindergarten and first grade parents and guardians to better prepare them for this new transition in their child's life. The purpose of this presentation is to share what to expect as your child enters school full time and how parents can support their child’s emotional development throughout the early school years. A panel discussion among Indian Prairie School District 204 staff members will round out the evening.
Please note: This presentation is open to any IPSD 204 parent/guardian of an incoming kindergarten and/or first grade student. The information presented will not address any individual elementary school's policies or procedures.
The presentation will be offered both in-person and virtual. The content presented will be the same at both sessions.
In-Person Date: Tuesday, April 30, 2024
Time: 6-7 pm
Location: Welch Elementary School, 2620 Leverenz Road, Naperville
Childcare will be provided for children ages 3-10 by District 204 high school students. Children must be able to use the bathroom independently.
Virtual Date: Thursday, May 9, 2024
Time: 7-8 pm
The webinar link will be sent to registered attendees prior to the event.

Square 1 Art- Orders Due April 30th!
Turn your student's art into a keepsake! Square 1 Art offers all Patterson families the opportunity to turn your child's art into memorable keepsakes and gifts. Ordering information and catalogs will be sent home with your student(s) soon.
You can place your order online, simply search for your child's art using Art Search, and enter state, school name, and your student's name. Your student's art and code will appear, and you may order!
Orders are due by: 4/30/2024
2024 Kane County Cougars Reading Club Tickets
If you turned in a Kane County Cougars Reading Club ticket order and payment, your tickets will be sent home with your student prior to the game.
Game Date: Friday, May 17th at 6:30pm
*Please note, students must be supervised at the game by a parent/trusted adult.

IPSD Fine Arts Festival Artwork Volunteers
Mrs. Fischer (Patterson Art Teacher) is looking for volunteers to help return student artwork displayed at the Fine Arts Festival to the Patterson students. Volunteers will meet at the Fine Arts Festival at Neuqua Valley High School on Saturday, May 18th, 4pm-6pm to take down the Patterson student artwork and bring the artwork back to Patterson by 9:15am the morning of Monday, May 20th. Volunteers are also needed to help sort the artwork to be returned to the students on Monday, May 20th at Patterson, 9:30am-11:30am. If you are new to Prairie Dog Partners (have not volunteered for PDP in the past) but are interested in learning more about the Prairie Dog Partners program, please fill out the Interest Form in the link below for more information about the program and training opportunities to become a Prairie Dog Partners Volunteer.
Prairie Dog Partner Volunteers who previously volunteered during the 2022-23 school year OR if you have attended the Prairie Dog Partners Training, you are welcome to sign up for a volunteer slot in the link below now. If you have not filled out a Volunteer Form for the 2023-24 school year yet, please make sure you have turned in a completed form to the office before your first volunteer day.
