Book of The Week!
Take a moment out of your busy schedule to sit back, relax, and dive into a great read. Each week, we feature a new, enjoyable book for you to explore. Don’t miss this week’s pick—start reading today and rediscover the joy of a good book!
Inspired by her own foremothers' legacies and the friendships formed throughout her life, Rozella Kennedy centers and celebrates the stories of 100 Black, Brown, Asian, and Indigenous women, both famous and little-known, who changed the course of US history.
Kennedy mines history and the present day to profile everyone from seventeenth-century Native American Catholic Kateri Tekakwitha to present-day heroes like Angela Davis and Sonia Sotomayor. Following each entry is a prompt that asks you to connect your life to theirs, an inspiring way to understand their influence and the power of their stories.
