Senior Device Collection - May 14
Tuesday, May 14th - Senior Device Collection:
All 12th grade students should return their laptop, case and charger. If students have been issued a hotspot they should also return their hotspot at this time. Please listen for the announcements on the intercom, students will be called to the Pirate Theater by last name.
Grad100 Seniors Still Completing Courses:
Keep your laptop to complete your courses in Edgenuity. As soon as you have completed all courses for your graduation requirements, you should return your laptop to the tech office. Please check with your Grad100 teacher to ensure that your name is on the list of seniors who need to keep their laptops.
9th - 11th Device Collection - May 16
Thursday, May 16th - Underclassmen Device Collection:
All 9th, 10th and 11th grade students should return their laptop and case. Students should keep their charger with them. If students have been issued a hotspot they should also return their hotspot at this time. Please listen for the announcements on the intercom, students will be called to the Pirate Theater by last name.
Students Participating in Summer Programs (Dual Enrollment, Summer Acceleration, etc.):
Turn in your laptop on your designated day (above). Your laptop will be re-issued to you prior to the last day of school once your parent or legal guardian has completed the annual registration forms (link below)
AICE Testing Students:
Students taking an AICE exam may keep their laptop until the date of their last AICE test, and then should return their laptop to the tech office.
Registration and Device Forms for 24-25
Parents - the required forms for returning students for the 24-25 school year are now open! Please visit the link below to complete these forms, including Student Device Registration. Any student participating in a summer program must complete these forms prior to having their laptop re-issued for summer programs.
School-Wide Testing Days This Week
Parents, please make sure your child charges their laptop the night before testing so that they are ready! Students should check Schoology for their testing locations for each test.

Reminder - there are no make up dates for AICE or AP exams. If you are scheduled for EOC or CDF testing during the time of your AICE exam, you should report to your AICE test. Our Testing Coordinator and AICE Coordinator have made plans for you to take your state test or CDF during a make-up session.

Matanzas HS Parent Input Survey
The administration of MHS, in collaboration with our School Advisory Council (SAC), have created the following survey to gather your input as a parent or legal guardian of a student a Matanzas High School. We ask that you take a few minutes to complete this brief survey, which will be used to formulate school improvement goals for the 24-25 school year. There is also a student version of the survey which will be shared via Schoology. Please complete this survey by May 24th.

Free Athletic Physicals and ECG Screenings
Through a partnership with Advent Health, all students in Flagler Schools in grades 6-12 have the opportunity to get a free pre-participation physical. See information on the flier below and pre-register online for this event.

Matanzas High School Tutoring Schedule
Last Day of Tutoring May 14th
All students are required to be in their tutoring location by 2:40PM and busses depart at 4:30PM. Students are not permitted to remain on campus if they are not attending a scheduled MHS activity supervised by a staff member.

Daytona State College Graduation Information
Any 12th grader who will be completing their AA this spring must apply for graduation from DSC, whether or not you wish to participate in the DSC commencement ceremony.
Students apply for graduation through your MyDaytonaState portal. Please see below for important dates:
First day to apply for graduation: January 16, 2024
Commencement book deadline: March 18, 2024
Summer Completers - Last day to apply: July 31, 2024
Commencement Ceremony: May 14, 2024
**You must apply for graduation even if you do NOT wish to walk in the commencement ceremony
**You may walk in the ceremony no matter what your grad status is

Florida Bright Futures Application Information
If you have qualified for or will qualify for the Florida Financial Aid Application Scholarships (Bright Futures Awards) you MUST complete your Florida Financial Aid Application BEFORE YOU GRADUATE to receive any potential award money! Please request the quick guide tutorial from your school counselor if needed (the guide was also supplied to you in the College & Career prep packet). If you qualify for a scholarship and plan to attend college in Fall 2024, you will NOT receive the award money if this application is not completed BEFORE you graduate.

Cap & Gown Ordering Information
Seniors and their families can now order their cap and gown and any related graduation items, like announcements and Class of 2024 items like hoodies, t-shirts, etc. Note that shipping charges may apply since we have passed the cap and gown school day distribution date.

Hurricane Ian Relief
After many of our families were directly impacted by Hurricane Ian in September 2022, new assistance is now available to help!
You can apply now for Rebuild Florida Housing Repair and Replacement Program aid which may be able to help repair or replace homes damaged as a result of Hurricane Ian.
