Exciting news to share (although I know many of you know already)! The Mirova Business Plan Team and HR Team qualified for Nationals! They will get to compete at the Virtual Enterprise National competition in NYC in April! So we will have two teams competing at Nationals representing Centennial (our Finance team still has a chance to qualify at the trade show in February)! The entire Mirova team has been working hard gearing up for the state competition and trade show!

Congratulations to our Mock Trial team who won the County Mock Trial competition for the sixth year in a row!

This weekend all of our teams competed in the Cal Poly tournament at the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus! Where many of our teams managed to rank pretty high through the tournament and get pretty far though the elimination rounds but in the end our 7983S and 11475B managed to win it all in the end by beating two of the slo high teams on the finals!

The CSF Fall 2024 membership drive begins Monday, January 27th and ends February 7th. All students are welcome to apply. Applications can be picked up in the Counseling office or printed from Centennial’s website under the Counseling tab. IMPORTANT REMINDERS ABOUT FORMAL:

1. No purses, bags or backpacks will be allowed. Only clear purses, phones & keys will be allowed.

2. Tickets are NON REFUNDABLE & NON TRANSFERABLE. Trading and selling tickets is NOT allowed!

3. ALL students/guests must have a valid photo ID student ID or drivers license to enter the dance.

1. If you’ve ever thought about a career in the aviation industry, don’t miss out on the Aviation Career Day at California Aeronautical University on February 7th! This is a fantastic opportunity to get an up-close look at aircraft and connect with aviation professionals. There are only a few spots left, so sign up ASAP! Deadline to Sign Up: January 29th, 2025, in the Career Center. This is a unique chance to explore a career path in aviation—don't miss out.

2. Cal-SOAP will be hosting weekly financial aid workshops to assist Seniors in completing their financial aid applications before the March 2nd deadline. This week's workshop is Wednesday, January 29th. Please scan the QR code on the flyer in the counseling hallway to register.

3. If you applied to CSUB and plan on attending this fall, CSUB admission counselor Marlene Ortega will be hosting a "CSUB What's Next" information workshop on Tuesday, February 4th, during 4th, 5th, and 6th periods in the Career Center. You will receive a reminder about this event asking you to choose one period to attend. Don’t miss out on the important information you’ll receive!

4. Bakersfield College will be hosting a New Renegade Orientation for all Fall 2025 Incoming Freshmen. There will be 3 mandatory sessions held on February 6th in the Library. You will be registered for one of the sessions and will receive a notification this week with your session time. If you are unable to attend, please reach out to Cal-SOAP or Mrs. Likens in the Career Center to reschedule. Don’t forget—attending orientation is required to receive priority registration for Fall 2025.

CHECKLIST FOR PURCHASING GRAD NITE TICKETS

• Get Debt Clearance Form signed by April in Finance

• Get Permission Slip signed by your parent/guardian

• We will start selling tickets at 6:30am on Friday, March 7th in the Centennial Finance Office.

• Bring Debt Clearance/Permission Slip and $335 (Cash, Check or Card) to the Finance Office to purchase your Grad Nite Ticket.

• Tickets will be sold until 1st per, at lunch, and after school until all tickets are sold! WE ONLY HAVE 320 GRAD NITE TICKETS TO SELL!!!

• Once your Grad Nite Ticket is purchased, you will tell us which BUS you would like to be on (talk with friends before to determine which bus you will be on. Once signed up, there will be NO changes)

• We will continue to sell Grad Nite tickets until we have sold all 320 tickets or the March 21st Disney deadline!
