Lincoln Families!

In a little over two weeks, students and staff will be returning to Lincoln for the start of the 2024-2025 school year! The building is looking amazing thanks to our fantastic custodial staff and Mr. Mario leading the way. The new playground is in, sod is beginning to take hold on the northside of the building, and the basketball hoops are being placed back! The new and updated classrooms in our kindergarten wing are getting the final touches with paint as we speak, and the school is just about ready for the smiles and laughter of our Lincoln Lions to come back on September 5th!

Yesterday, classroom assignments went live as well. As noted in the district communication, those assignments can be seen in Campus Parent.

Along with all of that added excitement for what is ahead at Lincoln, Paws wanted to take another stroll around, and inside of, Lincoln! So, Paws, Ms. Roldan and I took an additional stroll inside, and outside, of the building to showcase the progress as well!

Hi everyone,

I hope that you are enjoying your summer break. My name is Stephanie Jakimczyk. I am brand new to District 15! I am starting my 18th year in education. I began my career as a special education teacher. I have taught resource, self contained, co-teaching classrooms ranging from kindergarten to either grade. I was an assistant principal for a couple years prior to being a MTSS/SEL coordinator.

I live in Vernon Hills, with my husband, 2 children, and a dog. I have a 13 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. My children keep me very busy. My son plays football, soccer and track. My daughter is an all-star cheerleader. I love going to new places, and trying new things with my kids.

I am excited to meet everyone and have a few, fun pictures of my family to share!

Ahead of the first day of school on September 5th, we will have meet the teacher at Lincoln on Tuesday September 3rd at Lincoln from 1:45-2:30. More information will be shared as this approaches but many families have recently inquired about the time and date.

Please read the update below regarding Lincoln being a CEP School for the 24-25 School Year and its impact on students receiving lunch and breakfast through the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.

However, for families wanting to get their fees waived for the 2024-2025 school year, there is a form to complete in the main office at Lincoln or online through CCSD15.net.

On Wednesday evening, August 21st, POC will be hosting a great community event at Falcon Park! Please see the flyer below for more information.

Since our last update in a few weeks back, everything continues to look better and better! The new playground was installed, the exterior steps on the new addition was finished, blacktop was completed and the new sod laid around Lincoln continues to take hold!
