Rotary Students of the Month
Congratulations to Laura Gainey and Jackson Havel as our Rotary Students of the Month for October!
They attended the Rotary luncheon and will be eligible to receive a scholarship at the end of the year.

Mrs. Amy Green is this week’s Counselor Spotlight!
Mrs. Green is committed to advocating for her students and collaborates closely with us to support their emotional and social well-being. As we all know, each student learns differently, and Mrs. Green makes it a point to cater to the diverse learning styles in her classroom.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CORNER
- DAR Good Citizen Award - Congratulations to Leo Zalcman who received our 24-25 DAR Good Citizen Award!
- Leadership High School Northwest - Congratulations to Rachel Franks and Daniel Hadzic on being selected by LSC to represent THS at the Leadership High School Northwest this year!
- Local Tomball Scholarships for Seniors - Two of the local scholarships are now active!! More to come as we hear back from donors. Seniors need to check back frequently. These are great scholarship opportunities!

- 2025-2026 FAFSA (for current seniors) is delayed - The FAFSA opening date will be delayed again this year to December 1st.
- Save the date! Tuesday, November 19th - Cougar Block College Fair from 9:00-9:45 am, sign-up required, details will be provided prior to event. Event for students only.

- Lone Star College Rep Visits - Our Lone Star College rep will be on campus twice each month throughout the year to help answer any questions students have about their program, admissions, etc. LSC has many great opportunities for our students. Seniors planning to attend LSC after graduation definitely need to sign-up for a visit! Click here to sign-up
Opportunities for Students with the College & Career Counselor
- College & Career Cougar Block Series - Open to all grade levels, sessions will be held during Cougar Block and cover a variety of topics from post-high school options, college rep panel, financial aid, military options, stress management, and more. Click here to sign-up
- C&C Donut Chat - Before school event once a month (updated) for students to chat with Mrs. Nichols, College & Career Counselor. Sign-up required as space will be limited, donuts will be provided. Dates & sign-up in student’s Schoology!
- College & Career Classroom Videos - Every other week, Mrs. Nichols will share videos for each grade level covering many college and career related topics throughout the year. Videos and presentation links will be shared in each grade level Schoology course for students to refer back to and parents to stay in the loop. Videos posted in grade level Schoology courses under 24-25 Classroom Videos & Slides section.
- Grade Level Schoology Courses - Each grade level will have their own Schoology course provided by Mrs. Nichols, College & Career Counselor. Here students will have information on events, event sign-up, C&C Classroom Video library, C&C Series information, rep visit sign-ups, and more. Parents do not need to do anything to join the course. Once the student joins, parents will have access through their own Schoology login. Information will be provided for parents who do not have accounts set up yet. One Final Senior Yearbook Photo Opportunity at THS
Seniors, if you have not yet done your senior photo, this is your LAST opportunity. Our photography company, CADY, will be making a final visit to campus on Nov. 11. They will be here all day to accommodate anyone who still needs a photo. Please go to https://store.cady.com/ to schedule an appointment during the campus visit. There is a $10 sitting fee but that gets you both the formal photo (which is used for the yearbook) and the cap & gown photo.

Trash Bag Fundraiser
Trash Bags arrive TUESDAY
In order to pick up the trash bags you sold..........
- Sign up for ONE TIME SLOT. Please ensure you 100% can be there during that time slot as I pull your sales in advance. If you do not come at your allotted time it is a lot of wasted effort and energy on my part and I am OLD!!! Seniors and Parents make sure you communicate with each other so you dont both sign up for a slot. (Check your email for the sign up link)
- You must have a vehicle. If you do not have a vehicle, come and talk to me to make arrangements. Do NOT sign up for a spot if you do not have a vehicle.
- Pull your vehicle to the Big Garage Bay Door on the old baseball field side of the ROTC Building
- If you are stronger than me, hop out of your car and help me load them. I will give you your sales slip so you know who to deliver them to.
- Go deliver and collect cash or checks made out to THS. ($15 a roll)
- Turn in all money to Mr. Vierkant or my assistant Mrs. Lopez
All time slots are during Cougar Block, or after school (including Senior Release). If needed, more dates and times will be added.
Thank you so much for participating in the Senior Trash Bag Fundraiser. Free Prom Tickets will be issued when Prom Tickets go on sale.
