We are off to a beautiful start of the Lenten season here at Saint John School!

There is a lot going on, so please be sure to ask questions as they arise.

A few safety notes:

• Please be sure that a staff member is ready at the auditorium door for students to enter at 7:30 a.m. before having children get out of the car.
• Please continue to speak to your children about "street crossing safety". It is very important that they always cross at the crosswalk and that they wait for the crossing guard to give them the 'go ahead signal' before starting across. Many cars drive much too fast on Bishop Street and, unfortunately, they don't always stop for the crossing guard or busses. We need to make sure that everyone is stopped before the students begin to cross.
• Please keep your children with you at pick up. We ask that they not go off ahead out of sight, or run through the church or school yards.

Thank you for your understanding. Bishop Street is very busy and we want to do everything possible to keep all of the children safe.

In speaking with the local food banks about their growing needs, we have chosen to help them in a specific way this Lent. More information about the project can be found below. We invite families to contribute by donating much-needed paper and hygiene products to support the Bellefonte and Snow Shoe Food Banks.

Gardners Candies Easter candy order forms have been sent home. Orders and money are due to the school office by Monday, March 17, 2025, and pick-up will be Friday, April 4, 2025.

You can also provide friends and families with our Saint John School Group No: 10-0987 so that they can order through the online catalogue, if preferred. These orders will ship directly to the buyer.

Pricing is the same as the Gardners store and Saint John School can earn up to 40% on each sale. Thank you for your support of this school fundraiser.

The After School Care Enrollment link is now available for March 17-21.

If you are planning to have your child utilize the After School Care Program during this time, we ask that you register them using this link by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14.

As a reminder, you only need to complete the form if your child(ren) will be attending After School on at least one of these days. Thank you!

Caregivers are invited to join us at our next meeting, to be held 6:30 p.m. tonight (March 12) in the school auditorium. All are welcome to join the conversation as we plan events and activities for the last few months of the school year.
