Great Work Parkwood Students
Dear Parkwood Panthers,
What an incredible month of May we've had, and now we're heading into our final week of school! We want to take a moment to celebrate our amazing students and the wonderful community that supports them.
Highlights from last week:
-2nd grade field trip to Boulder Ridge Zoo
- Spirit Assembly: We celebrated our students' hard work during MSTEP and end-of-year testing with an energetic and fun spirit assembly.
- PTO Carnival: A big thank you to our fabulous Parent-Teacher Organization for hosting an incredible end-of-year carnival!

End of Year Fun Week Schedule
Monday, June 2nd
- 4th and 5th Grade Growlers Game
- Buses leave promptly at 9:00 AM
- Important: Students must arrive on time
- Late arrivals may need parent transportation to game or home
Wednesday, June 4th
- Field Day
- Morning activities outdoors
- Student Preparation:
* Wear active clothing
* Bring a hat if you want
* Apply sunscreen before school
* Carry a water bottle
- Grade Level Spirit Day - Dress in class colors or Parkwood Spirit Gear:
* Kindergarten: Green or KPS shirts
* 1st Grade: Yellow
* 2nd Grade: Tie-dye or Orange
* 3rd Grade: Blue
* 4th Grade: Red
* 5th Grade: Purple or Parkwood Spirit Gear
Thursday, June 5th
- Half Day Dismissal: 12:00-12:06 PM
- Kindergarten End of Year Celebration
- 10:00 AM in the gym
- Families can enter at 9:30 AM (no earlier please)
- No backpacks allowed
Friday, June 6th
- Half Day Dismissal: 12:00-12:06 PM
- 5th Grade Promotion Parade
- 10:30 AM around school playground
- Parents welcome to cheer along the track
- Parade starts at cafeteria doors
- Ends in the garden for yearbook and shirt signing
- No backpacks allowed
