September 2024
Message from the Principal:
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have had a great start to the new school year at SES! The students have settled in well and are happy to be back. We would like to welcome our new students and families to our school! We hope you enjoyed your transition to SES. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me at 276-496-4751 or email me at mitzifrye@scsb.org.
This year we have decided to promote a school wide theme. Our theme is “The road to success is always under construction!” All students received a construction hat the first day of school. You will be hearing more about this theme throughout the school year. We hope to convey to our students that we should always be working on improving ourselves in some way in order to be successful in life. Please help us encourage our students to work hard and always do their best!
September is Thank a Police Officer Month. In light of recent events, we feel we need to show our local police officers how much we appreciate them. To do this, we are preparing small gift bags for our town and county police officers. If you would like to donate some items, we would greatly appreciate it! Some of the items recommended are: pens, candy, snacks, small hand sanitizers, small notebooks, Chapstick, etc. We appreciate your help!
Reminders:
- Parking at the top is for people who are handicapped and employees only.
- Student drop off starts at 7:30 each morning. A staff member will be on duty at the bottom of the hill.
- Prior approval from the principal is required for a requested family trip to be excused. You may send a written request by your child, or you may email Mrs. Frye. Attendance will be reviewed before a decision is made.
Congratulations to Our August Students of the Month!
