JUNE CAMP PROGRAM
This program at Creative Themes will run for three
weeks in June, designed for campers entering PK (4) and K in the fall. The two sessions will have a half day program (9-12) and two full-day program (9-3). All campers need to be 4 by September 1st, of that upcoming fall.
GROUPS
Our staff during PDC is college students and professionals who
have dedicated their education and careers to working with children. This is a fun and energetic staff, many of them with years of Creative Themes experience. Our staff ratio for the PK (4) and K program is 1:6 overall.
ACTIVITIES
All campers will have an opportunity to try our camp activities: fishing, Archery, Canoeing, and Art and Creativity (Theater Area). Each activity will be scheduled multiple times during the week(weather permitting). All activities are highly supervised by our qualified staff.
Swimming pool and water slide activities will be scheduled if the weather permits. We have found that, most likely, our full-day campers will have more opportunities than half day. Our experience has found that Rochester's weather does not produce excellent swimming conditions for June. Certified Lifeguards always supervise pools. Every time we use the pool, we stress water safety and having a fun learning experience. Note: Our pools are 2 ½ to 4 ½ feet deep and great for beginner campers to learn and have fun.
Creative Themes has built our Summer Camp around Experiential Learning, also known as Outdoor Adventure Education. We have designed activities and elements that are age-appropriate for the PK and K age groups. Our staff is trained to help campers experience safe and fun outdoor play and learning.
Note: A CT camp t-shirt is given to each camper. (Note: one t-shirt per registered camper.)
LUNCH/SNACKS
Snack time is scheduled in the morning for all campers. Campers should back a non-refrigerated snack of their choice.
Full-day campers will need to bring lunch Monday through Thursday. FRIDAY camp will provide pizza for all campers wishing to enjoy a pizza lunch. (Pizza, chips/pretzels, fruit, lemonade/water)
PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF
Drop-off is in the CT parking lot from 8:30-9:00, camp staff will greet campers/parents and walk campers into camp to start their day. Parents will be restricted to the parking lot area for drop off.
Pick-up takes place at 12:00 or 3:00. Parents are directed to line up in their cars and campers will be escorted out of camp by their counselors. The CT staff then proceed to follow our very safe loading and releasing of vehicles. This has been a very safe and efficient system for years. We ask that you follow directions, stay in your cars, and trust our great staff.
