Meet the Author - Debbie Kaiman Tillinghast

Harmony Library
Local author Debbie Tillinghast will visit the Harmony Library to launch her most recent book, Over the Garden Wall, Finding Moments that Matter. She will share what inspired her to write the book and read excerpts highlighting her connection to moments that matter. Refreshments will be served, and signed copies of her books will be available.
Candlelight Open House
Thursday, December 5, 5 p.m. through 8 p.m.
Glocester Manton Library
Glocester Libraries invite you to celebrate the season at their annual Candlelight Open House. Drop-in and create a holiday-themed craft or just warm up with a hot cup of cocoa, coffee, or tea.

Mushroom Ornaments – Drop-in Craft

Enjoy ornaments with a fun twist. We will be using half a walnut shell and creating a mushroom scene inside using model magic clay. This drop-in craft is available while supplies last.

Holiday Wreath Workshop

Glocester Manton Library
This annual program is best described as a good old fashioned wreath making gathering! Learn how to hand-tie a holiday wreath with the greens that you collect in your own backyard. Please bring clippers and garden gloves. Wreath rings and ribbon will be provided. Feel free to bring your special decorations and ribbon. There is no cost for this workshop.

Fearless Art Club

The Fearless Art Club invites adults of all ages and artistic abilities to experiment with materials and techniques to create art. In December, we will explore botanical watercolor painting. We create a supportive atmosphere for people to come together, explore art, find their own artistic style, and be inspired and influenced by others.
Writers’ Group

Share your writing with your peers! The Harmony Library Writers’ Group is open to writers in all genres and forms, including poetry. In December, bring a sample of your work to read and get feedback from fellow writers. For information, phone Pat Kenny, Reference and Technology Librarian, at 949-2850. Note: The group begins with a social half-hour at 6 p.m., before meeting formally at 6:30 p.m.
Holiday Centerpiece Workshop for Adults
Tuesday, December 17, 6 p.m. and Wednesday, December 18, 10:30 a.m.

Participants will create a festive, sparkly centerpiece with greens, pinecones, and mason jars. All materials will be provided. Note: Participants should register for only one session. Registration opens on Tuesday, December 3, 6 p.m.
Traditional Evergreen Centerpiece Workshop
Wednesday, December 18, 6 p.m.
Glocester Manton Library
Learn how to make a fresh and fragrant centerpiece for your holiday dinner table from greens gathered in your own backyard. Please bring garden clippers, work gloves, special decorations, fresh cut greens, and your holiday cheer! Containers and Oasis foam will be provided. There is no cost for this workshop.
