Dear Peirce families,

This is it-The final week of school! Monday, June 9 is a full day for students. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, are half days (11:35 dismissal). On the last day, students should leave their computers and other school items at home as they will not need them for the final day. 8th graders will turn their computers into Henderson High School at their transition day in August. 6th and 7th grade students will keep their computers for next school year. If you are leaving the district, please return the laptop with charger to the main office on the last day of school.

Also, the Walk For the Cause, which was scheduled for Tuesday, will now move to Wednesday, June 11 because of the anticipated rain. All times will remain the same. Please reach out to Mrs. Bergey (HBERGEY@wcasd.k12.pa.us with any additional questions.

Lastly, during the summer, the Peirce Middle School office will be open Monday through Thursday, from 8:00-4:00 p.m.. The building will be closed on Fridays. On behalf of our entire faculty and staff, thank you for all your support of the school and the Peirce community. We feel blessed to be able to partner with you! Best of luck to our 8th grade families as they move on to high school.

VOLUNTEERS & DONATIONS NEEDED for Walk for a Cause!

On Wednesday, June 11, each grade level will participate in the Walk for a Cause during their Unified Arts period. This will be out 18th year of the walk that was started in honor of Abbey Rodkey. Abbey was a 7th grade student who lost her battle with cancer in the fall of 2007. Her class came together to remember Abbey and we are still doing the walk today. Thank you for all your support for this event. As a school, we have donated over $70,000! Rising 7th and 8th grade students will have the opportunity to try out for several PIAA sanctioned sports in the fall for Peirce Middle School (Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Field Hockey). Prior to trying out, students are required to have a completed sports physical. Most fall sports begin on the 2nd day of school. In previous years, students would turn those physicals into the main office or the coach. Next school year, all middle school families in the West Chester Area School District will now be able to complete the PIAA physical registration information required for sports participation online through www.familyid.com. Please see the attached letter from Mr. Beatty, Athletic Director at Peirce Middle School. I have also attached the PIAA physical form required for the examination. The Henderson High School Girls Ice Hockey Club is open to 8th-12th grade girls attending Peirce Middle School and Henderson High School. Registration is now open for the 2025-2026 season! Henderson Lacrosse will hold their 2nd annual lacrosse camp July 14-17th for players in grades 3-8 (rising 9th grade). No experience is required!
