The mission of Sioux Center Christian School is to disciple God’s children by equipping them with a knowledge and understanding of Christ and His creation so that they can obediently serve God and others as they work and play.
Every Student TREASURED, Every Student TRAINED, Every Student TRANSFORMED
FROM MR. BRENNER:
I am grateful for those who choose to serve and protect our community every day. Thank you Officer Munneke, Chief Koedem, the many law enforcement officers, city and county officials who work behind the scenes to keep us safe.
I am also thankful that we serve a sovereign God. We may not know what today or tomorrow may bring, but we know the One who does. As we continue to live out our roles in God’s grand story, may we never forget who created and sustains us.
“For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:16-17
4TH GRADERS EXPLORE THE POND ECOSYSTEM
Our 4th grade classroom storyline is "TRUST God, SEE Him in everything, and FOLLOW where He leads us." In science, they are studying pond ecosystems and SEEing the relationship God has made between plants, animals, and nonliving things. Last Friday, the fourth graders enjoyed a beautiful day as they explored the pond ecosystem at Sandy Hollow. They were thrilled to SEE God's creatures as their nets gathered frogs, tadpoles, minnows, snails, bugs, plants, and very tiny critters! When they returned to their classrooms, the students wrote notes to thank God for ponds and for Sandy Hollow. We are thankful for Mrs. Vander Kooi, Mrs. Van Zee, and Mrs. Winter, our 4th grade teachers who daily design each lesson and learning experience so students can clearly SEE God in everything, learn to TRUST Him, and FOLLOW where He leads!

Bikes and walkers need to make sure they cross at the crosswalks and push the button to get the flashing lights before they proceed across the street.

Storyline Chapels are held the first Wednesday of every month. Students should wear their Storyline t-shirts. Parents and grandparents are welcome to attend - just come through the main entrance and office. Chairs are set up on the north side of the gym. You can also watch the livestream/recording here (siouxcenterchristian.com > Current Families > Livestream Links)...
