Current 5th grade families -Get your 5th Grade Clap Out Shirt for the last day of school!

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new iPad sign-in and sign-out system at Ferson Creek Elementary! This process is used at several other D303 elementary schools with great success. The iPad is located in the foyer next to the office window. This new tool is designed to offer a more streamlined and confidential check-in/out process for students. We appreciate your patience as we transition to this system and welcome your feedback during this initial phase.

For the entire month of May, 10% of sales from the St. Charles Tropical Smoothie location will go back to the D303 student support fund, which ultimately provides support to all 18 of our educational entities. This runs from May 1st-31st, and the coupon gives a free 12 oz smoothie with the purchase of an entree or 24 oz smoothie. Please support D303 and head to the St. Charles Tropical Smoothie during the month of May!

Illinois law requires all children in Kindergarten and Second grade submit a dental examination form completed by a licensed dentist by May 15.

The exam can be done up to 18 months before the May 15 deadline, so if your child has been to the dentist in that time, please call the dentist and request that the exam form be prepared. The completed form can be dropped off in the main office or emailed to Nurse Holloway. All health forms can be found on our district website.

Band Familiies,

D303 5th grade bands are excited to once again have the opportunity to perform the National Anthem at the Cougars game. The flyer to order tickets is attached. You can choose between lawn seats or reserved tickets, but please make sure to order a ticket for your student as well! You may apply Ozzie's Reading Club tickets, if your child is participating in that program. Please note - this is not a drop off event. Students will need supervision once we are done performing! Ticket ordering is open from now until April 21st at noon.

Summer Band Opportunity!

D303 offers a summer camp for incoming middle school band students at the end of July. The camp runs Monday-Thursday evenings from 5-6:30 from July 21-31.

District 303 is proud to partner with the Glenbard Parent Series (GPS) to offer our families broader access to information sessions and resources that support their child’s development.

For decades, GPS has been offering free programs that aim to empower and strengthen families, individuals and communities. As a partner organization, District 303 will support promoting upcoming programs and their importance to our local community.

• Messages can be left 24 hours a day.
• Please leave your name, your child's name, phone number, reason for absence and your child's symptoms if ill.
• If you have advance notice of an absence please fill out our prearranged absence form, inform your child's teacher and submit the completed form to the front office. You are allowed up to 5 prearranged absences per school year.

Our parent volunteers are an integral part of our school community. Therefore, we'd love to invite you to spend time with Ferson Creek students during lunch and lunch recess.

Please keep in mind that it is important to keep our students, staff members, and volunteers safe while they are in our schools. Given that, all volunteers must:

• Have your ID ready and sign in at the office to receive your visitor badge.
• EACH YEAR complete a Volunteer Liability Form. If the school does not have one on file for you and you do not provide one, the office will provide one for you when you come for your first day as a volunteer.
