Welcome Warhawk Class of 2028

Class of 2028 Warhawk Students and Families, welcome to Westerville Central High School! As I enter my 3rd year as the principal of Westerville Central High School, I am extremely grateful and proud. I am proud of the strong relationships built, the culture we are building together and the elite experiences we are providing our students!

A major focus for Westerville Central High School is culture. Our intentional focus on building a successful culture is critical as we work through the three areas of focus for WCHS - Academics, Culture and Equity. We believe that you don't get the culture you want, but rather you get the culture you LEAD and what you practice, permit and promote. We all must be intentional, purposeful and skillful. When it comes to the culture of Westerville Central High School, everything matters; when we build our culture, everyone has an impact.

Since August of 2022, we have been on a culture journey together. We started with staff, students, parents and community leaders to identify the core values, the heart, of our school… Through collaboration and dialogue, we identified three core values that are the Warhawk Blueprint:

Better Together - Think we, Not me
Own it - Make a difference, Act with purpose

These values are our guidepost; our values provide alignment in all we do. We use these values as the focus of our Warhawk Culture Playbook. Our playbook gives us a unique advantage. The Warhawk Culture Playbook guides and grounds us as we work together for many years to come and is only the beginning of our culture journey. Our core values provide the standards for how we behave towards each other, interact with our students, and partner with our families. We look forward to sharing this vision with you all as it will take ALL of us rowing in the same direction, using common language and holding each other accountable to the standards we have set for ourselves and the WCHS community.

We are extremely excited to welcome the Class of 2028 to the Warhawk Family! Show your school pride by displaying a "2028 Warhawk" Yard Sign! Signs are $20. Signs can be picked up at Westerville Central High School during the school day between 7:30am-3:00pm

Freshmen First Flight-August 14th

Hello 9th Grade Parents!

We are very excited that your child will be attending Central High School, and we look forward to seeing them at our 9th Grade Freshmen First Flight on August 14th from 7:25 am-2:05 pm at Central.

We have an exciting day planned for your student that will include meeting their teachers, support staff, administrators, and Link Crew Leaders which will help get your 9th grader off to a great start! More details about what Link Crew is can be found below.

WHAT IS LINK CREW?

Link Crew is a nationwide program designed to welcome and support 9th graders by connecting them with Link Leaders, who are positive, responsible, hand-selected 11th and 12th graders. Your student’s Link Leaders will help them feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of high school.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

A day or two before orientation, you and your child will receive a phone call or email from their Link Crew Leader personally inviting them to orientation day and giving the details of where to be and what time. The Leaders can also answer any questions they may have.
Your student is encouraged not to bring backpacks, purses or other like items as the day is quite active.
Because the day is active, please make sure that your student wears comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement
