Upcoming School Eevents

• Office Hours: RVA Office Hours are back!! Please drop in at Henderson Middle School in Room 211 from 10am to 2pm Monday-Fridays. For assistance, please contact our Office Associate, Ms. Joyce Phillip, via email jphillip@rvaschools.net or call our office during Office Hours at (804) 228-3277.
• October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and next week is our Breast Cancer Awareness Spirit Week! Check out the flyer enclosed in this week's newsletter and show your support all week long! And remember to be sure to recognize the breast cancer heroes in your lives this month and every month! Hoot Hoot!!
• October 21-November 11: High School Fall SOL Testing Window. High school teachers and students should have received communication about specific SOL testing dates. If you have any questions or concerns, be sure to check out the RVA High School SOL Testing Letter and/or contact our RVA School Counselor and High School Site Testing Coordinator, Dr. Candace Benn.

Richmond Virtual Academy would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to our very own, Mrs. Jessica Osegueda, LIEP Teacher and Administrative Intern, for coordinating and facilitating our school's first annual Hispanic Heritage Month event! Held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, this culimating event was developed to celebrate hispanic heritage and culture while inviting our scholars, families, and teachers to engage in fun activities as we embrace and learn more about the amazing accomplishments of the Hispanic diaspora. Our RVA Owls are recycling and saving the planet! Check out RVA Owl Mykia donating clothes and shoes to our Planet Aid fundraiser program. And you can donate, too! Just drop by our YELLOW BIN located in the parking lot between John Marshall High School and the Northside YMCA. Hoot Hoot!
