Meet the Newest Members of Our Rankin Team
Ms. Stanford - 4th Grade
My name is Kadie Stanford and I am a recent
graduate of West Liberty University in West Liberty, WV
where I majored in Elementary Education. Throughout my
time at West Liberty University I was able to
observe/student teach in several
grades. My time in the school
assured me that working with
young children is my passion.
Originally from Wheeling, WV, I
just recently made the move down
to North Carolina. I have always
loved visiting this area and am
excited to make it my home and
explore all it has to offer!
When I’m not at school, you
can probably find me somewhere
listening to music and eating a
Chipotle burrito! One of my favorite things to do is go
to concerts with my friends. I also enjoy being
outdoors, especially when I’m playing with my fur-
child, Paislee Mae. Paislee is my three-year-old golden
retriever. We enjoy taking hikes, swimming, and going
to the park together.
Mrs. Rivelle - 4th Grade
My name is Sarah Rivelle and I will be taking over Mr. McBride’s fourth-grade class. Let me start by telling you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Gastonia and I am a product of Gaston County Schools. I attended Sherwood Elementary, Grier Middle, and Highland School of technology. I graduated from Gaston College in 2014 and Belmont Abbey College in 2015 and again in December 2019. I have been married for almost nine years and I have a three-year-old daughter. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family; I have been all over the United States and have also visited nine countries outside of the U.S. I am a huge theme park fanatic and I have traveled along the eastern states visiting different parks and trying out new, exciting roller coasters. I also have a great love for learning (as I have frequently been called a professional college student) and experiencing different places and cultures and I hope to instill that passion in my students.
I am so excited for this next chapter and grateful to be joining the team at Rankin! I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this school and I am ready to get to know you all.
Mrs. McKinney - 2nd Grade
My name is Renee McKinney, and I am a recent University of North Carolina Charlotte graduate. I will be
teaching 2nd grade here at Ida Rankin Elementary School. This is my second career; my first career was in
interior and architectural design. Although I thoroughly enjoyed design, I have always wanted to be a teacher
and decided to pursue a path in elementary education.
I am married to Keith McKinney and have a thirteen year old son, Aiden, and a dog named FInley. I and my
family reside in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading,
and knitting badly. I am so excited to be joining the Ida Rankin family!
