I can’t believe we are already halfway through the school year! I hope everyone had a great Winter Break. As we enter 2025 we will revisit school expectations and dive back into our academic routines. PIE will be hosting a Family Dance Night on Friday, January 10th from 6:00-8:00 pm at the school. We hope to see you there! Students will have FAST assessments in both Math and Reading at the end of the month. Please reach out with any questions or concerns and thank you for your continued support in ensuring your students' success!

BackPack Program
The Food Bank of Iowa's BackPack Program is designed to increase access to easy-to-prepare, single servings of food to school-age children on weekends when school lunch or breakfast is not offered. The Food Bank of Iowa and Collins-Maxwell Elementary would like to invite your child to participate in this free program.
- Every Friday, Your child will receive a sack
- There is no fee to participate
- Notify the elementary office if interested in joining.
Student Mentoring😀
Please contact the office if you would like a permission form to have your student join our mentoring program.
- Mentors are screened & trained from the YSS program
- Teachers & School staff help match appropriate mentors with mentees
- Mentors eat lunch, play games, make crafts during lunch & recess times during school hours.
