Personal Message from Mrs. Dickerson
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Mr. Shelton for most of my life. During my time at Shenandoah, I also worked under his son-in-law, Mr. Ron Green. Both of these men have dedicated their lives to education, leaving an enduring impact on our schools and community here in Henry County. I am grateful to have learned from both of them.
When I was selected as superintendent last summer, I had the chance to visit with Mr. Shelton and ask for any advice he might have for me in this new role. His words were simple but profound: “Help people and be friendly.” His message captures the heart of what makes our community strong, and I’m grateful to carry this reminder forward as we focus on strengthing our community and creating opportunities for all students at Blue River Valley.
