What's New on the OLIS Website?

Job Opening: Library Program Specialist

Interested in supporting library services on a statewide basis? Join the OLIS Team! OLIS is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to serve as Adult Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will become part of our library development team, providing support and services to public libraries with a focus on adult education, digital literacy, workforce development, small business support, and more. Applications are due May 16.

ARPA Plan for Library Stimulus Funds
OLIS will be receiving $2.2 million through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 to support libraries and library services in Rhode Island. .

2021 LORI Grant Awards Announced
Congratulations to the libraries and library serving organizations that have received 2021 LORI Grant Awards. OLIS has awarded $431,000 to 16 grantees to fund projects that support OLIS's 5-year goals of Access, Learning, and Engagement. .
