Daniel Wright
Red Ribbon Week
DW students joined schools across America in supporting Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-27. Red Ribbon Week's mission is to help keep students drug-free. Each day students were encouraged to participate in spirit day activities, a student art competition, and writing down why it's important to be drug and alcohol free. Veterans Sought
Calling all American Veterans and Active Duty Military Personnel! On Veterans Day Monday, Nov. 11, all Daniel Wright students will celebrate and honor our local Veterans. The Veterans Day committee wants students to understand the contributions of our military and why we honor them on this day. We are asking for any volunteers who would like to share with students why they joined the service, how they served, and the lasting impact being in the service has made on their lives. These conversations leave a lasting impact on students' educational experience in D103. There will also be a celebration of service and an opportunity to connect with other local Veterans. If you, a grandparent or neighbor is interested in joining us in-person on Monday Nov. 11, please contact Erinn Vincent evincent@d103.org or Kristine Rickert krickert@d103.org.

This workshop will give you the tools and strategies that you need to set healthy screen time and tech safety guidelines that fit your parenting values and lifestyle. Leave your parent-guilt at the door -- this judgement-free night of community, education, and discussion will leave you feeling empowered to confidently navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology for your kids (and yourself!).
