Cedar Grove Friday Flash
March 21, 2025
Dear Cedar Grove Families:
STEM Night is tonight at 6:30 p.m., and this is always such a fun event that our students and families have enjoyed in previous years. We hope you will be able to join us! Thank you to our PTA and staff for making this amazing event possible.
Families are invited to the Clarksburg High School (CHS) Art and Culture Night on March 27 at 6:00 p.m. CHS students will be sharing their cultural traditions, and there will be free food, entertainment, and activities. Please click on this link to view the flyer.
Use of Technology Reminder- We are sending out a reminder regarding student responsible use guidelines regarding technology which was also sent in our summer letter as we want to ensure we are working together to utilize technology appropriately and most importantly to support our responsible and respectful Cedar Grove students. As a reminder of MCPS policy, students should understand that all MCPS equipment, the MCPS network, and the student’s MCPS network account are the property of MCPS that must be used for educational purposes only and can be monitored, logged, and archived. Thank you for supporting the policy as we want to ensure our students are focused on instruction.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Please help support our students learning about careers by sharing yours! Students LOVE learning and talking about what they want to be when they grow-up. They are eager to learn about different careers. We are fortunate to have so many interesting jobs in our parent community. Please consider volunteering for this exciting day and complete this Career Day Interest form.

Calling all Clarksburg and Damascus Community Members!!!
Clarksburg, Damascus, and Nine other clusters will be included in an upcoming MCPS Boundary Study that will evaluate current middle school and high school boundaries and the special programs within them.
The Clarksburg and Damascus Cluster Coordinators will host a Boundary Study information zoom on March 31 @ 7:00 PM to provide an overview of why this study is being conducted and why it's IMPORTANT for our respective communities to stay aware and to engage. Elementary families should also take time to join this zoom session because any changes that are made as a result of this upcoming study will directly impact your future middle school and high school students.
