Happy Friday Cedar Families,

Our students are completing their final assessments for the school year. Please encourage them to try hard and be resilient. They are so capable, and we are proud of them!

We are excited about the field day, which will take place on May 19. There is a sign-up below for families to volunteer to facilitate a station. Volunteers will be given the rules for the games at their station, so have no fear. Let's make this a great event for our students!

Thank you to our PTO for organizing our staff lunch yesterday. We appreciate all of your support in making that happen for our team. We also had great participation in the Pastry fundraiser, which the PTO took the time to distribute to families.

We have a few field trips coming up. I encourage families to reach out to teachers to volunteer to chaperone and enjoy a fun memory with your student.

We look forward to seeing families and students at Chuck E Cheese today. If staff are attending, it will be this evening as we are in training to strengthen our practices during the day.

Feliz Viernes Familias Cedar,

Nuestros estudiantes están completando sus evaluaciones finales para el año escolar. Por favor, animarles a esforzarse y ser resistentes. ¡Son muy capaces y estamos orgullosos de ellos!

Estamos entusiasmados con el día de campo, que tendrá lugar el 19 de mayo. Hay un registro abajo para que las familias sean voluntarias para facilitar una estación. A los voluntarios se les darán las reglas de los juegos en su estación, así que no tengan miedo. ¡Hagamos de este un gran evento para nuestros estudiantes!

Gracias a nuestro PTO para la organización de nuestro almuerzo del personal de ayer. Apreciamos todo su apoyo en hacer que suceda para nuestro equipo.

Tenemos algunos viajes de campo por venir. Animo a las familias a llegar a los maestros para ser voluntario para chaperone y disfrutar de un recuerdo divertido con su estudiante.

Cedar Ridge Field Day 2025 is coming up on Monday, May 19th. We would love for you to come and volunteer at a station and have some fun with our Rockets.

We will have two sessions. A morning session for 3rd, 4th, 5th and an afternoon session for K,1,2.

The items we need are listed below, so are volunteer opportunities for that week!! All items should be brought in by Friday May 2nd unless otherwise noted on the sign up!

Cedar Ridge is excited to announce that this year’s 5th Grade Recognition will be held on Tuesday, May 20th from 1:00 to 1:45, here at Cedar Ridge! Parents/Guardians are welcome to come help recognize and honor our 5th graders, as they end their educational careers as elementary school students, and begin their careers as growing middle schoolers. The celebration will begin in the halls of Cedar. Families, staff, and students will line the halls and give the 5th graders a giant red carpet Clap Out! Feel free to bring posters and other visual props to help celebrate our students!

Following the Clap Out, 5th grade students, staff, and families, will gather in the gym for a final get together. Included in the get-together, will be a photo booth, treats, and a special presentation. Parents and guardians will have the option to take their child home with them at the end of our celebration. Please find your child’s classroom sign out sheet to sign out, prior to leaving.

Cedar Ridge se complace en anunciar que el Reconocimiento de 5to Grado de este año se llevará a cabo el martes 20 de mayo de 1:00 a 1:45, ¡aquí en Cedar Ridge! Los Padres / Tutores son bienvenidos a venir a ayudar a reconocer y honrar a nuestros alumnos de 5to grado, ya que terminan sus carreras educativas como estudiantes de primaria, y comienzan sus carreras como estudiantes de secundaria en crecimiento. La celebración comenzará en los pasillos de Cedar. Las familias, el personal y los estudiantes se alinearán en los pasillos y les darán a los estudiantes de 5to grado un Aplauso Gigante (Clap Out) en la alfombra roja. ¡Siéntase libre de traer carteles y otros accesorios visuales para ayudar a celebrar a nuestros estudiantes!

Después del Aplauso Gigante (Clap Out), los estudiantes de 5to grado, el personal y las familias, se reunirán en el gimnasio para una reunión final. Incluido en la reunión, será una cabina de fotos, golosinas, y una presentación especial. Los padres y tutores tendrán la opción de llevar a su hijo a casa con ellos al final de nuestra celebración. Por favor, busque la hoja de salida de su hijo/a para firmar antes de salir.

Diversity club is on a break until April 7th. Students who are a part of Diversity club can plan to attend the final meetings on the dates below:

Girls on the Run has started and takes place on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00 PM. Please make sure students have water and running shoes.

You can call the attendance line at 309-557-4462 or email our secretary, Brooke Starr, at starrbr@unit5.org and the classroom teacher to report the absence. Be sure to include your child's name, grade, and reason for the absence.
