Bring your child to work day
Recognizing the value of real-world learning and the importance of family connections, Sharyland ISD supports the annual national initiative Bring a Kid to Work Day. This year's event on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, themed "For a New Generation," offers a valuable opportunity for children to connect with role models in diverse fields, gain real-world experiences, and envision their future career goals as attainable and exciting.
Students participating in National Take your Child to Work day will be allowed to be picked up at 10:30 AM on this day.
Eligible students participating will not be counted absent for the remainder of the day. Participation in this event will not affect perfect attendance records, nor will any additional penalties be applied. Students are responsible for completing any missed assignments according to district attendance guidelines. Parents interested in their child participating should complete the form below to notify their campus. Students currently on a principal's attendance plan for excessive absences are not eligible. If you have questions about the principal's plan or whether your child is on one, please get in touch with us directly.
Additionally, the following is required for documentation.
