Earn volunteer hours by providing snacks to the CCA staff every Monday. Store bought items equal one volunteer hour, and homemade items count as 2 volunteer hours. Sign up one week before you will bring snacks. We love taking care of our teachers and staff!

A few traffic reminders for Carline: please do not make any U-Turns or turn left at the bottom of the Hill or from the back lot. Please be respectful of neighbor's driveways and do not impede traffic by stopping in the middle of the roadway and no blocking crosswalks. Doing these will make you liable for a ticket.

Overnight trips from last year have been rescheduled and these letters went out on Friday, August 16, 2024 to our now 6th and 7th graders:

***Wristbands will be distributed the night of the carnival***

Below are tentative ticket prices to help you determine how many you may want to purchase

Additional tickets can be purchased 2 for $1.00. Please bring CASH ONLY

-No need to RSVP. Each child in your immediate family will receive a wristband and 10 tickets each, courtesy of your
PTO Giving Circle. Adults will not receive any tickets.

- Each Carnival participant MUST have a wristband. Adults DO NOT need a wristband.

-Wristbands grant access to carnival games & inflatables. They can earn points to purchase all kinds of prizes!

-CCA students, family members, and friends are invited to attend. (Additional kids outside immediate CCA families can purchase wristbands for $8.00 each)

-Students must be accompanied by an adult the night of the carnival.

-Additional tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase the night of the carnival. Purchases are NON-REFUNDABLE. CASH ONLY, please.

The deadline to buy CCA Spirit Wear has been extended to August 24, 2024! You can shop at Spirit Squad Cherry Creek Academy and choose to have items delivered directly to your home or delivered to CCA, where the PTO will coordinate sending items home with your student. Get your orders in before it’s too late!

Attention all CCA Middle School students. Peer Helpers will begin meeting on Friday August 23, 2024, at 7:15am in Mrs. MacFarland's room. Peer Helpers is a group of Middle School students who are trained in leadership skills in order to help their fellow CCA community. Any middle school students interested in participating in CCA's Peer Helper program should plan on attending this meeting as well as fill out the CCA Activities registration form for Peer Helpers. Please email Mrs. MacFarland with any questions.

All CCA students are invited to attend an open enrichment session in the GT Computer Lab on weekday mornings from 7:20 to 7:55. Students have free choice of a variety of activities, including Dash and Dot robots, creating with recycled materials, watercolor painting, and working with iPad apps.

CCA is excited to continue our Finance Club this year! Finance Club aims to teach students about basic financial concepts and to get students thinking about how they will manage their finances in the future. Major discussion topics include: Long-term Investing, planning and saving for college, job benefits package considerations, owning a car, rent/mortgage, and more! We will meet on specific Mondays after school, the schedule is here. Our first meeting will be on Monday, Sept. 9th from 3:40 pm to 4:40 pm in Mr. Leins' room. CCA is excited to continue our National Junior Honor Society this year! NJHS is a club that focuses on cultivating scholarship, citizenship, leadership, service, and character. NJHS students represent Cherry Creek Academy in the community and are leaders within the school as they complete five hours of service activities in the academic year. NJHS requires students to have an exemplary academic and character record to become members. Invitations to qualifying students will be sent out by the week of August 26th. The Schedule is here. Kings of Chess club is to help the kids to learn chess in a fun way. Chess helps to increase concentration, memorization, critical thinking, visual skills, and advanced planning skills.

Kid friendly technique, no experience required, Intermediate and experienced Chess players have challenging lessons and puzzles. Theoretical and practical play, Guidelines to tournament level chess. 10% off for school teachers kids.

CCA Mathletes is excited to enter its 9th year. Thank you to everyone who has supported our club. Our mission has always been to encourage our students and make them confident individuals.

We will be having our bi-monthly meetings in person. The meetings will be held on Fridays from 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm.

Calendar 2024.

Grades 3-5 will be coached by Mr. Zach Leins.

Grades 6-8 will be coached by Mr. Andrew Loomis.

The competitions will continue to be held ONLINE (on non-coaching Fridays) and will be proctored by Mrs. Priya Nair.

Grade 3: $50.00

Grade 4: $60.00

Grade 5: $80.00

Grades 6- 8: $100.00

The difference in price is due to the number of competitions each grade level participates in.

Cherry Creek Academy offers yearly optional Chromebook Repair insurance for each student receiving a Chromebook. Insurance is available only until August 30th, 2024, before 11:59 p.m. The Chromebook Insurance is not active until 48 hours after payment. Please visit the CCA Revtrack store to purchase Chromebook insurance. $40 per school year, per student. Payment can be made either online, by cash, or by check to CCA. Insurance covers 50% of all damage claims. (Example: A screen replacement with insurance would cost $80 instead of the regular $160 fee.) Recommended for 4th-8th grade.
