District Budget Issues
Lin Howe Families,
I want to take a moment to express our gratitude for your support as we navigate the district budget issues.
As we assess how the budget cuts may affect Lin Howe, I am actively gathering information on how we can collaborate as a community to find solutions. I have been in contact with the Culver City Education Foundation and will be meeting with their leadership again this week.
Additionally, please be aware that a special board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4th at 5:30 PM, where they will be discussing proposed cuts. Once I have additional information of the potential impacts on our school and have met with CCEF, I will host an online meeting to discuss the next possible steps.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
Best regards,
Mr. Chabola

Celebrate Women’s History Month!
Celebrate Women’s History Month!
March is Women’s History Month, a time to honor the incredible achievements, contributions, and resilience of women throughout history. From trailblazing leaders to unsung heroes, this month is an opportunity to recognize the impact women have made in shaping our world.
We invite you to check out the beautiful Women’s History Month display by Negin Kamali in front of the school, thoughtfully designed to highlight influential women and their lasting legacies.
For even more inspiration, explore the Women’s History Online Gallery featuring engaging exhibits on remarkable women and their stories: https://www.womenshistory.org/exhibitions/online-exhibits.
Let’s take this month to learn, reflect, and celebrate the powerful contributions of women—past, present, and future!
Women’s History Month Assembly – A Touch of Classical
We are thrilled to welcome A Touch of Classical next Wednesday March 5th, an inspiring musical performance that blends the beauty of classical music with storytelling to celebrate Women’s History Month! This special assembly will introduce students to the profound impact of women in music and history, bringing their stories to life through the power of performance.
About A Touch of Classical:
Guided by the mission to “educate, enrich, and inspire through the power of live performance,” A Touch of Classical provides an engaging, interactive experience that connects students with the arts while highlighting the contributions of remarkable women composers and musicians throughout history.
We encourage families to continue the conversation at home! Here are two questions to ask your child after the assembly:
1. Did you recognize any song that the artist played?
2. Which cultural music from the assembly do you find interesting and how is it different from the music you listen to everyday?
This promises to be an unforgettable event that brings music and culture together in a meaningful way. We can't wait to share this experience with our students!
