Welcome back Tolson families!
Please pay attention to this important beginning of the year information:
- School starts August 1st... Students are allowed on campus starting at 7:30, classes begin 8:30 and we dismiss at 2:40. Every Wednesday we dismiss at 1:40
- No parking in front of the building. This is drop and go area only. Please stay in your car if using drop off area. If you enter the building, you need to have found a parking spot in one of the parking lots.
- Breakfast and lunch are free for all students. Breakfast begins at 7:50 and ends at 8:15
- New families: make sure you child's teacher knows how your student will get home...bus or parent pick up
- New families (kinder)...Be prepared to leave the building shortly after dropping off your kindergarten students. Several adults will be supporting our new kindergarten children. An announcement will be made around 8:45
- Meet the teacher is Wednesday 7/31 from 9:00-11:00 and 12:00-2:00. Rosters will be posted in the entry way lobby.
- Unless you are informed otherwise, all parents and students must use the front door to enter and exit the building.
- Please check in with the front office during open hours no matter the length of time you may be here.
- Policy states that all cell phones should be turned off and away in students backpacks. Cell phones can and will be confiscated if not properly sorted. Please rely on the front office to relay messages to students and staff!

General Safety Reminders: Please help us keep your children safe!
- Students are not allowed to enter the building before 7:30 a.m. There is no supervision until that time.
- Do not park and abandon your vehicle in the designated drop-off/pick-up lane or in the bus bays. This causes major problems during drop off and dismissal. Please use either parking lots when visiting.
- Follow speed limits in the “School Zones”.
- Encourage your child to report all injuries or unsafe conditions to any adult on campus. If we do not know about circumstances when students are unsafe, we can’t intervene to help.
- Always walk your child into the office when they are tardy. This is a District policy that is in place to keep your child safe. Never have your children walk to school alone when they are going to be significantly tardy.
- Parent pick-up students must be picked up in designated area in front of school. Please do not park in front of the building.
- You are welcome to sign students out before dismissal when appropriate. Please check them out in our front office.
- Parents/Guardians MUST call the front office when making a change in dismissal procedure. Thank you for helping us keep your child safe!
