Dear Students & Parents,
As we immerse ourselves in the spirit of Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, I am honored to extend my deepest gratitude to our extraordinary educators and support staff. Your unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in nurturing our students' growth and success are truly commendable. From fostering a love of learning in the classroom to providing invaluable support behind the scenes, your contributions are immeasurable. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students, school, and our community.
I am delighted to share the exciting progress being made on the construction of our new TK playground. This project signifies a significant investment in creating a safe and engaging environment where our youngest learners can explore, play, and develop essential skills. We eagerly anticipate the completion of this endeavor, knowing it will enhance the overall educational experience for our TK students and contribute to their development.
As we look ahead, it is essential to prepare for the upcoming California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and California Alternate Assessment (CAA) testing, scheduled for May 15th through 17th. These assessments serve as valuable tools for evaluating student proficiency and informing instructional practices. To ensure our students feel confident and prepared, I will be delivering informative presentations to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students.
Additionally, I would like to remind families that this Friday, May 10th, marks the final day to place orders for our school yearbook. Please make sure to get your order in. We've built a lot of memories this year and our yearbook serves as a great reminder of the amazing school year.
Go Cubs!

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! 💖
May 6-10th
When we have asked, staff always tell us that they love thoughtful cards and notes from students and families the most. We hope that you’re all able to take some time over the next week to express your thanks to the people who make our school go-round every day.
We are kindly asking for our Cub families to donate snacks and drinks during the week as a way to stock the staff lounge and teacher area each day. Staff are often trying to get so much done during their breaks and individual, “on the go” snacks are always helpful and appreciated! There is a fridge/freezer, Keurig coffee maker, microwave and toaster in the staff lounge. Please drop off items inside the office any morning of the week, the PTA will set-up items after drop-off every morning.
Some suggested items:
K-cups, disposable coffee cups, creamer, flavored sparkling waters, sodas, trail mix, chips/pretzels/crackers, beef jerky, yogurt, string cheese/Babybel cheese, fruit, cut veggies, popcorn, granola bars, chocolate, cookies
*Gluten-free & dairy-free alternatives are appreciated as well.
