REVISED-Non-uniform policy
NON-UNIFORM ATTIRE
Students may occasionally be allowed the privilege of a non-uniform day. These instances may be for special occasions or earned through classroom award. Student cooperation is the key to the implementation and success of a non-uniform dress code. Non uniform clothing should reflect Christian values with respect to graphics, lettering and physical fit.
As parents of children in a Catholic school, please use your best judgement in regards to any example not listed. As with the regular uniform policy, students and parents are asked to comply with this policy, so it doesn’t interfere with the education of our students. Students who do not adhere to the dress code may need to remain in the office until their parents
Shirts: The non-uniform policy includes shirts with sleeves, blouses, sweaters, sweatshirts, turtlenecks, knit shirts or T-shirts. Midriffs, tank tops, tight fitting tops in which the stomach and lower back show, under garments and shirts with indecent or inappropriate language, pictures, or ads are not allowed.
Skirts/Dresses/Shorts: Skirts, dresses and shorts must be mid-thigh which is the base of middle finger tip with arms fully extended at side. If shorter dresses are worn, then opaque tights or leggings must be worn. No biker shorts or cut offs allowed.
Bottoms: The non-uniform policy includes slacks, jeans, cargo pants, athletic pants, or capris in good condition. Examples of some restrictions include: no jeans or pants with holes/tears/ripping, pants with writing across the back, low rider pants which display undergarments, flannel pants or pajama bottoms.
No leggings, jeggings, or yoga pants for grades 5-8.
Shoes- No Crocs, slippers, slides
This policy was approved at the School Advisory Meeting.
2024 Marathon -Saturday, October 5 Our school goal: $45,000 at Sanborn Park 9:15 a.m.
Our Marathon is the only mandatory fundraiser for SHCS and its success is a tremendous example of how SHCS families and staff pull together to accomplish our goals. Our goal is for EVERY student to bring in the required $300 fundraising goal for the Marathon. The Marathon is also a celebration and a chance for people to come together. We have fun walking, running or biking. All funds remain here at Sacred Heart and they are used to offset the rising costs of providing a quality education. So if you are asked, “Where does the money go?” It truly goes to support every part of our mission.
We will be continue using PledgeStar to secure online donations for our 2024 Marathon. This is an easy way for your donors to pay online. Parents, Grandparents and former Coaches!
Sacred Heart is in need of coaches for girls basketball, softball and baseball.
Positions are volunteer and can be used towards your family volunteer hours. Not to mention forming long, lasting relationships with Sacred Heart parents and students!
The girls’ basketball season runs from the beginning of January into the 2nd week of March.
Softball and baseball run concurrently from the beginning of April until the end of May.
Grades 5-8 can participate so this is an excellent opportunity for someone with a child in those grades to be responsible for building their athletic confidence!

Need help paying for tuition?
MN Fundraising Initiative (MNFI) secures contracts with over 23 venues in the greater Twin Cities area including Target Field, Target Center, Canterbury, and US Bank to operate food and beverage concessions stands at their events.
MNFI organizes teams of volunteers from all over the state of MN and WI who work together to run these stands. In turn, MNFI receives donations from these venues. The donations are then used to award grants to families in local communities to allow youth to attend private school, such as Sacred Heart Catholic School and participate in enrichment activities they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. Checks are mailed directly to Sacred Heart in your name.
Many of our school families use this organization to help pay for tuition.
Click on the website and create an account by clicking on the “Volunteer registration”.
