Adams Elementary was buzzing with excitement and energy as students participated in the annual Fun Run event. The event, aimed at promoting fitness and raising funds for school programs, saw students of all ages eagerly jogging through the tracks with enthusiasm and determination. Parent volunteers lined the tracks, cheering on the students and tracking their laps. The atmosphere was filled with cheers and encouragement as students pushed themselves to complete as many laps as possible, showcasing their endurance and spirit. The Fun Run not only provided students with a fun and active way to spend the day but also emphasized the importance of physical fitness and healthy living. It served as a reminder of the value of staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The event was a huge success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Adams PTA, parent volunteers, teachers, and staff who helped organize and supervise the event. Their efforts ensured that the students had a memorable and enjoyable experience. Adams Elementary applauds all the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to fitness. The Fun Run was not only a great way to raise funds for school programs but also a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their determination and resilience.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health challenges, as well as highlighting the ways to take care of our mental well-being. Youth in the United States today desperately fails to cope with the challenging demands of everyday life, often experiencing severe emotions such as anxiety and depression, encouraging even more distressing emotions of helplessness. Equipping our students with the essentials to manage distressing emotions and circumstances will help mitigate any mental health challenges on campus as well as support them in their education and life. For kids and teens, experience many changes such as learning how to be an individual, separate from their parents or friends. They’re navigating social pressures, wondering what other kids are thinking about them. No one can hear the inner dialogue of their thoughts and feelings. Thus, it can feel lonely at times, like no one understands what they’re going through.
Adams PTA Needs your help to celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
Hello Wonderful Parents of Adams Elementary!
It is time to celebrate our wonderful teachers and staff at Adams Elementary School! Teacher and Staff Appreciation is Monday, May 6th - Friday, May 10th. The PTA has a lot of fun and goodies planned for the teachers and staff, but we need your help with donation. On Monday, the PTA will be putting little gifts in all the teacher and staff mailboxes. Tuesday we are having lunch catered but we still need some items like a fresh fruit platter, veggie platter, drinks, plates, napkins, and utensils. Wednesday we are bringing in a tasty breakfast of bagels and yogurt but we need more items like coffee, tea, and granola toppings. Thursday we are doing a Candy or Dessert Bar where the teachers and staff can fill up goody bags with some tasty treats to take back to their classroom, or home, but we need all kinds of candy and desserts donated. On Friday, PTA will give all staff and teachers another gift that they can find in their mailboxes. The PTA is only allowed to spend a certain amount of money on Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, so we really need your help with some food donations. Anything you can donate will be very helpful and greatly appreciated! Please help the PTA in celebrating our wonderful Adams Teachers and Staff! Help us show them how appreciated they are for all of their hard work and dedication to our students!

Attendance
Did you know? Research shows that chronically absent students (students with 10% absences over the school year = 18 absences) are less likely to read on grade level by 3rd grade, are more likely to score lower on standardized tests, get suspended in middle school, and are at least four times more likely to not complete high school.
