Dear Chamisa Families:


Thank you so much for allowing us to teach your child(dren) this school year. The 2024-2025 school year has seen our students take amazing strides in both their academic and social/emotional skills. Our Chamisa staff and community have worked tirelessly this year to help students. As always, I am truly thankful to the students, staff, parents, and community for allowing me to teach our Chamisa students. I hope everyone has a great summer, and come back ready to go for 2025-2026 in our new school!

Report Cards

Report cards will be emailed to parents on May 30th. I am pleased with the progress our Chamisa students have made this school year!

Reading - Summer Edition!!

Don't forget that Summer Reading and Math minutes begin on Sunday! Our reading goal this year is 266,000 minutes to be our old school record. New School = New Summer Reading Record! If every student reads just 15 minutes a day we will surpass that number and Mr. Washnok and Mrs. Meek will get a pie in the face with all of the kids watching. Forms have gone home with your children but if you can't find them, email mecarp31@gmail.com and I'll be happy to send you more forms!

Chamisa End of Year Assessment Scores Kinder-6th Grade (Percentage)

Here is the Beginning of the year and End of the Year "On Target" student percentages. The percentages reflect what percentage of students are "On Target" in Math and Reading. The scores are from Istation (K-2), and Interim Measures of Student Success (IMSSA 3rd-6th). Your Student's individual teachers can share a breakdown of their individual scores. You can also contact Craig Washnok if you would like their individual scores next week.

Chamisa's 2024/2025 yearbook can still be ordered through Tree Ring. Orders placed now will be shipped to your home and charged for shipping.

Summer Office Hours & Transition Update

As we transition to our new school building, please note that no staff will be in the current school building after May 30th.

Mr. Washnok, Mrs. Meek, and Mrs. Dallas will still be working and available to meet from June 2nd through June 12th. We’ll return to work on July 22nd.
