A Prayer for the End of the School Year
O God of all beginnings and endings,
We praise and thank you for the gift of this school year.
It has been a time filled with grace and blessings,
With challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows.
The days have passed quickly, O Lord.
The weeks, the months, the seasons, the holidays and holy days,
The exams, vacations, breaks, and assemblies,
All have come forth from your hand.
While we trust that your purposes have always been at work each day,
Sometimes it has seemed difficult to understand and appreciate
Just what you have been up to in our school.
Give us the rest and refreshment we need this summer.
Let our efforts of this past year bear fruit.
Bring all of our plans to a joyful conclusion,
And bless us, according to your will,
With the fulfillment of our summer hopes and dreams.
Watch over us in the weeks of rest ahead,
And guide each day as you have done this past year.
Help us return to school with a new spirit and a new energy.
May we continue to grow
In age, wisdom, knowledge and grace
All the days of our lives.
Amen.
The CLA Faculty & Staff wish all of our students and their families a safe, blessed, and fun Summer Vacation!!

YMCA After School Program Registration Day - Tuesday, June 4th, 2:15-5:30
As summer vacation approaches, the work for the 2024-2025 school year has been underway for a few weeks. One exciting change for the new school year is our newly established relationship with the YMCA of Downtown Manchester! Next year, the YMCA will be running an After School Program here at CLA!
As you know, the CLA teachers have been providing this service for many years, and a few might continue doing so as YMCA employees next year. However, with the lack of substitute teachers this year, and covering in ASP, they have juggled a workload that has become too great. As their Principal, part of my job is to take care of them. By having this partnership with the YMCA, the teachers will have the time to work on our curriculum, attend Professional Development opportunities, and to all meet together at our weekly Faculty and Staff Meetings!
Here are some additional benefits of this partnership:
1. On early dismissal days, the YMCA will offer childcare beginning at 11:30.
2. During school vacations, childcare will be offered on select days. (Dates are forthcoming.)
3. On Professional Development Days, childcare will be offered.
I hope these additional options will help you with childcare throughout the school year!
Please plan to meet with the YMCA Staff next Tuesday, June 4th! They will be here to help you with registration and financial assistance. Nicci Webster (Miss Perry’s cousin) and Sydney Duda, School Age Child Care Director, will meet with parents between 2:15-5:30.
