We ended February with another great Club Day session for our students. Check out a few photos below from our Gardening Club today. Our Club Day sessions have become a great opportunity for our students to engage in activities or interests they may not normally get the chance to.

Next week is our final week of Quarter 3. It's hard to believe the school year is nearly 75% over. For our spring athletes, the end of Quarter 3 is crucial for eligibility checks.

Finally, one final scheduling reminder: The deadline for HS course requests for our current 8th-graders is tonight. Our current 7th-graders have until Monday night to finalize their elective requests. Please reach out to any member of our administrator/counseling team with any scheduling questions.

This year, Ramadan will last from Friday, February 28th through Saturday, March 29th. During this time many of our students and families may be participating in multiple ways including fasting, praying, and gathering with family and community outside of school.

In the building, we have taken a few steps to support students who want to participate in Ramadan through fasting and prayer.

1. Students who are fasting and do not want to stay in the Cafeteria while their peers are eating may spend their lunch period in a separate location.

2. Students also will have access to a quiet space if they wish to gather to pray during the mid-day prayer.

If you have questions about Ramadan or how we are supporting our students during Ramadan, please feel free to reach out.

Several of our Lakeview students are conducting research to learn more about how students and families view our school in general as well as specifically related to school discipline. All responses are anonymous and will be used to help the students make a proposal to Mr. Baptist about how to improve our school.

On Friday, February 21st, the 8th Grade Orchestra participated in the Central Ohio String Festival. They performed selections for a panel of judges, and had a clinic with Dr. John Rine Zabanal from the Department of Defense Education Activity. Based on their ratings, they received an overall Excellent (II) rating, the second highest possible score.

Way to go, 8th grade Orchestra!

Lunch: If they choose both sessions, students will need to bring a sack lunch.

The 2024-2025 Spring Panorama Survey window will open from March 3rd. If you do not want your child taking the spring survey, please notify us by next Thursday, February 27th. Opt-out forms are linked below.
