Colonial Park Weekly News
October 28 - November 1
Principal's Note
Dear Colonial Park Families -
I hope our Colonial Park community has been enjoying these past two days. The weekend before Halloween is always very busy!
It was wonderful to see so many of our families on Saturday at our PTO sponsored Trunk of Treat event. The trunks looked amazing, and our students definitely had a blast! Thank you so much to our dedicated PTO and parent volunteers for providing such a fun event for our community. We also got to enjoy the annual Pumpkin Patch in our library on Thursday. Thank you to our Pumpkin Patch sponsors Revive Custom Woodworks, Bookkeeping Partners, LLC, Corso Insurance, Yoga Moves and Jo Ann Fazio. Our students were thrilled to take home a pumpkin!
On Thursday, we celebrated at our second Goldie Gathering of the year. We recognized students in grades K-4 who exhibited exceptional perseverance while using ST Math! These students are:
K - Genesis E.
1 - Samuel P.
2 - Layla H.
3 - Eva S.
4 - Gavin O.
Keep up the great work!
Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Jean and Ms. Becca also shared a lesson on autism acceptance during our Goldie Gathering. They read the book All My Stripes, and led a discussion on how our differences make us special and should be celebrated. Our kindergarten friends got a shout-out for the best October attendance, and our fourth graders proudly led our staff and students in our Goldie Anthem. We are so proud of our school community!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a Happy Halloween!
Best,
Rosa Flynn
