Schools throughout New Jersey are celebrating Walk to School Day

throughout the month of October.

Whether you walk, bike, or ride to school, be responsible and be safe.

Drivers: Slow down and drive extra cautiously in school zones and neighborhoods.

Avoid in-car distractions like texting or talking on your cell phone.

Pedestrians: Take your time and pay attention to all traffic signals.

Do not walk or bike with headphones.

Together we can get to school safely.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 22nd - October 25th. These days are early-dismissal days and students will be dismissed at 1:35. Please plan accordingly.

Registration for Parent-Teacher Conferences will begin on October 10th at 3:00 p.m.

You can register for your conferences through the Parent Portal.
If you are registering for multiple conferences, remember to allow yourself enough time to travel between visits to each teacher's classroom.

Parents/guardians should register for a conference time slot with their child's homeroom teacher and specialists, if applicable. Conferences with our special area teachers (music, art, gym, media) is always optional.

We are looking forward to having 100% participation at our parent-teacher conferences! It is important that we partner with you to help your child continue to learn and grow.

Dogs are not permitted on school property during arrival or dismissal time.

For K-4 students: The back doors open at 8:55 and the school day begins at 9:00.

After 9:05, parents must sign their children in at security. They will be marked TARDY.

Preschool students can be dropped off in the front of the building and walked to the front door.

Student dismissal for grades K-4 is at 3:35 in the back of the building by our playground.

Out of respect for our staff, please be on time for dismissal.

In the event of an emergency, please notify the main office via phone about your delay.

If there is a change in your child's dismissal plan, please notify the main office staff via phone or email BEFORE 3:00.

The expectation is that parents are bringing their children home immediately upon picking up their child from school. All parents/guardians MUST supervise their own children after being dismissed by the teacher. All school rules are expected to be followed if children are playing on the playground after school.

Please make sure that your 3rd and 4th grader(s) come to school with their charged Chromebook EVERY DAY. We do not have enough loaner devices to provide for forgotten computers. We appreciate your help in making sure your child is prepared with their charged laptop each day.

Many of our school clubs are starting up! In order to be a part of a school club, parents MUST register their child through Community Pass. Registration for some clubs is limited.

When dropping off your child for a club, please DO NOT drive away without seeing that your child has entered the building. There is no supervision available for students prior to the club start time.

Clubs that have already begun include:

Safety Patrol with Mrs. Marrone for grade 4

Meets: select Tuesdays (see schedule) 8:00 am - 8:55 am

Math Club with Mrs. Marrone for grades 3 &4

Meets: Wednesdays 8:00 am - 8:55 am

Gardening Club with Mrs. Grant with grades 3 & 4

Meets: select Thursdays (see schedule) 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm

Chorus with Mrs. Barnes for grades 3 & 4
Meets: Thursdays 8:05 am - 8:55 am

East Brunswick Public Library subscribes to Tutor.com (which is owned by The Princeton Review). It is open to all ages and available from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day. It is free to anyone with an East Brunswick Public Library card.

There are no appointments needed, a student can simply log in and search for the subjects or test areas they are interested in and connect with a tutor for live help. They can also submit papers or math problems for tutors to review and respond to.

All students may pick up a breakfast upon arrival and eat it in their classroom.

The State of NJ Working-Class Families Anti-Hunger Act has expanded the number of families that may qualify for no-cost meals. Complete the application, found in your child’s Parent Access account under the “Forms” tab, at anytime.
