A Note from Dr. Neubeck
It was an awesome first week of school for Byron Public Schools. The excitement of the students and staff getting started brought smiles to faces and a sense of community within our buildings. The Primary and Intermediate schools spent the first part of the week doing parent/teacher/student conferences. It's a great way for staff to learn who their students are in their classes. It is also the first step in promoting the parent/teacher cooperation that is needed to help a student grow and succeed.
The High School and Middle School began on Monday and by Tuesday, the students and staff were already into their routines. It is helpful when our schools have groups like Student Council and Link Crew that work to get the school ready for students and insure that all students feel like they belong. We have 169 academic days for our students and I hope the rest of the year is as terrific and filled with Bear Pride as was evident this past week.
It's Great To Be A Byron Bear!
