All County Beginner Honor Orchestra
The following beginner orchestra students were selected by audition for the 2018 All-County Beginner Honor Orchestra of Richmond County. Membership in this orchestra is a huge honor and means that these string students are among the best Beginner string students in the county. They will proudly represent Freedom Park throughout this six week event. The names of these talented string students are: Dante Hudson, Levi Henderson, Serenity Ford, Taliyah Cummings. Cye Mock, Caden Allen, Alijah Johnson, Sophia Goode, Damien Campos, Joshua Simon, Evionna Hampton,
and Teriauna Williams.
A late audition will be held Thursday, Feb. 8th at 7:15 at Tubman Learning Center for students who missed the first audition. The All-County Beginner Orchestra Concert is Thursday, March 22nd at 7:00 pm at Richmond Academy High School auditorium. L. Strong

National School Counseling Week
National School Counseling Week. "School Counselors: Helping Students Reach for the Stars," will be celebrated from Feb. 5-9, 2018, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
