There has been a lot of information in the media regarding the CoronaVirus. Some of that info is hard for kids to understand. Here is a comic that lays out information in an easy way for kids to understand. MBMS Counseling Department is offering a series of Informational/Family Game Nights monthly until May 2020. During these nights, in addition to fun board games and snacks, we will be offering information/discussing on topics geared to help navigate your student’s middle school years. Join us on March 25, 2020 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm in the MBMS MPR as we explore/discuss social media and the adolescent! (See flyer attached for additional information).

From March 16th to March 20th students will be collecting for the Alabaster jar project. This is a project to help women get back on their feet after having to leave their home due to human trafficking or abuse. Some items you can donate include household cleaning supplies, gas or grocery store gift cards, socks, lotion, new makeup, paper towels, toilet paper, ladies deodorants, soap, hair brushes, and body wash. Please bring items to the front office. Thank you!

CRFs are due to the student's Science teacher on Friday, 3/27/2020

Courses selected on the CRF ARE entered online through the student's Synergy account

Please join our “Meadowbrook MS team” in the ADL San Diego's 3rd annual 5K Walk Against Hate on Sunday, April 26, 2020 in Liberty Station. You can register at https://support.adl.org/event/adl-san-diego-walk-against-hate-2020/e265510 and join our team “ Meadowbrook MS Mustangs.” Meadowbrook students join for free during registration using “Student Only Code” in the promo code enter NPFH2020.

Attached is important information for our 8th grade students/families as they transition to high school.

Keep clipping! The Box Tops Drive is still going until June! Each Box Top is worth 10 cents for our school. Remember, there are two ways to earn:

1) Cut out the usual Box Top clips (unexpired) and put them in a Ziploc baggy or on a collection sheet. Drop them in the collection box labeled "Box Tops" in the front office.

2) When you see the new label, use the Box Tops app to scan your receipt. It will add cash to our school’s earnings online.

In planning ahead, please mark your calendars with the following important dates:

· Family Information Game Night - March 25, 2020 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm

· School will be closed the week of April 13th -17th for Spring Break

· Minimum Day – Friday, April 24th
