Principal Corner

We’ve had a great start to the 2nd trimester. We hope everyone enjoyed the extra day off this week due to the storm.


There are a couple of opportunities coming up next week to enjoy home basketball games (tonight and Tuesday night) as well as Band (Thursday evening) and Choir (Wednesday evening) concerts. Sophomores have a field trip on Monday to visit two programs: the Allegan Tech Center and the Wayland Training Center. This is a great introduction to programs available to our students as they think about their college and career choices.


Finally, After School Support will start up again next week. Have a wonderful weekend!

Superintendant Advisory Committee

The Superintendent Advisory group got a chance to show off their new T-Shirts today!

National Honor Society

Our NHS set up our school Christmas tree this past week - stay tuned to see what ends up underneath it.

Thrifting

Our Bulldog Care Closet was open today for all students.

NWEA Testing

NWEA testing will take place the second week of December. Students will test on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week.

  • Seniors who do not attend the Tech Center do not need to report to school on those days until 9:10 AM. First-period classes will begin for them at 9:15 AM.

  • AM Tech Students will test on December 10th at 7:45 AM in the media center. They will not go to Tech that day.

  • We will follow the delayed start Tech Schedule on December 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th.
    • AM Tech - Leave OHS at 7:40 AM. Leave Tech Center at 10:30 AM. Take first lunch at OHS Report to the media center for the third period.
    • PM Tech - Leave OHS at 12:10 PM.

Student Top Five

  • Sophomores have an all-day field trip Monday. See your email for more information.
  • NWEA Testing Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. Seniors don't need to report until 9:15 AM those days.
  • Seniors, check with Ms. Quinn about the spelling of your name for your diploma. Also, be sure to complete your community service requirement and turn it into the office.
  • Come see the OHS Choir Classes perform their holiday concert on Wednesday, December 11th, at 7:00 PM.
  • Come see the Otsego Bands perform the Holiday Extravaganza on Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 PM.

After-School Support

After-School Support runs from 3:05 PM to 4:05 PM Monday - Thursday. It takes place in Room 145 (Mrs. Cleypool's room)

Emily is new to Otsego this year and has been an amazing addition to our LINKS program. She is helpful, kind, and always willing to work. Her caring personality and genuine interest in helping others is simply amazing. We are so lucky that Emily chose OHS and LINKS!
