📚🔔 STAAR Testing this week! 8th Social Studies & Science, 9th Biology, and 11th US History🔔📚
As we approach STAAR testing week, I wanted to share some essential reminders to help ensure your child is well-prepared and ready to excel on test days. The STAAR tests are an important assessment tool, and with the right preparation, our students can showcase their knowledge and skills effectively.
Here are some tips to help your child prepare for testing:
Charged Computer: All students will be taking their tests on their Chromebooks. Please ensure that their device is fully charged the night before each testing day. This will help prevent any technical issues and ensure a smooth testing experience.
Adequate Sleep: Adequate sleep is crucial for optimal cognitive function and concentration. Encourage your child to establish a regular bedtime routine and aim for 8-10 hours of sleep each night, especially during testing week.
On-Time Arrival: Punctuality is key on test days to minimize stress and ensure that your child has ample time to settle in before the test begins. Please help your child arrive at school on time each day of testing. Students need to be on campus no later than 8:10 AM.
Healthy Breakfast and Snacks: A nutritious breakfast provides the energy and nutrients needed for sustained focus and mental clarity throughout the morning. Offer your child a balanced breakfast with protein, whole grains, and fruits or vegetables. Additionally, pack healthy snacks for them to enjoy during breaks. Please do not send your student with candy or junk food.
By following these simple yet important tips, you can help support your child's success during STAAR testing week. Your partnership in their education is invaluable, and we appreciate your continued support.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding testing procedures or accommodations, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.

General Athletics Information & Questions
Our athletics program as a whole has done more, gone deeper into the playoffs, and been more successful than it ever has been. This is an amazing time to be a part. I know all the girls’ sports are looking to add teams and we need more girls coming out. Remember it is your job to have fun and be coachable and our job to coach you up. So come out, get reps, and be a part of something special. I am looking forward to helping you achieve your goal of being on a team and doing something that HPA has not done before.

All students are expected to adhere to the dress code guidelines. Per the Student Handbook, students who are not in dress code will call home. Parents are required to bring the appropriate uniform pieces within one hour. If dress code cannot be corrected, students will be placed in ISS. Repetitive issues will result in OSS.
Please ensure your student is in appropriate dress code each day this includes, but is not limited to:
- No holes in pants/jeans
- Appropriate length skirts/shorts
- No non-uniform piece of clothing at any time (outerwear, hats, sweaters, etc.)
- Correct polos with patches
- Belts/tucked in shirts
Technology Help
We’ve launched a new tool to provide direct tech support assistance to parents. This resource can be found on the Parent Resources page at https://www.trinitybasin.com/parentresources. By clicking on the “Tech Support – Live Chat” icon, it will launch a new IT Tech Support bot geared towards the most common IT issues raised by parents (e.g., Skyward, TBP Mobile App).
This bot will provide parent-specific tech support through a question-and-answer format in both English and Spanish.
Should a parent’s needs exceed the scope of the bot’s current abilities, it will invite the parent to submit a ticket on the issue they’re experiencing. We’ll expand the capabilities of the bot as new issues or resources arise, but this is a first step in providing prompt, targeted support directly to TBP/HPA parents.
