Random Acts of Kindness Week
#RAKweek2015
What is a Random Act of Kindness!?
What is RAK Week?
RAK Week was established in 2000 by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation. The mission of this foundation is to help everyone create a better world by spreading awareness and increasing engagement in kind actions.
During RAK Week (February 9-13) individuals all over the world are challenged to do Random Acts of Kindness for friends, family, colleagues and even strangers! This year's goal is for people world-wide to complete 100,000 acts of kindness in only one week!
At OPES, we want to be a part of this awesome event! Please watch the video below to learn more about RAK Week and then read on to see how we will participate at OPES!
RAK Week at OPES!
Starting Tuesday Feb. 10, we will have a large banner in the foyer outside of the library where students can stop by and write down the kinds acts that they are doing AND add a kindness ribbon to our Kindness Wreath! At the end of the week we will display our Kindness Wreath and count all of the kind acts that we did at OPES! We think we can make a huge dent in that 100K goal :)
We encourage you to visit us at our OPES School Counseling Facebook page (click the link below), LIKE us, and post your Random Act of Kindness deeds with the hashtag #RAKweek2015
