If your child missed both picture days, you have one more chance for photos! Lowell Elementary School is having their picture day on November 19th, before 10:30 AM. The address for Lowell is 2000 Rice Lake Rd, Duluth, MN 55811.

You must email Connie Lovera (connie.lovera@isd709.org) if you intend on taking your child to Lowell for pictures.

Greetings from the Ordean East Middle School PTA! We invite you to join and support our small but

mighty group of volunteers. Your contributions and volunteering make a significant impact on our

school’s programs and improve the lives of our students. Big thanks to those who have volunteered their time or contributed so far. This year, your donation is more critical than ever. This will be the only time that the PTA asks you directly for money this year.

How You Can Help: We are holding a No-Fuss Fundraiser to support our school’s initiatives. Your

investment supports classroom enrichment, grade-level activities, teacher appreciation, special events and more. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference. Please consider making a donation to help us reach our goal.

How to Donate:

make a secure online donation. Choose your student’s grade and donate. The grade with the most

donations will win a class prize!

● In Person: Drop off your donation at the front office. Checks can be made out to "Ordean East

PTA."

Show School Pride: Purchase spirit wear for your student and yourself! The Fall Spirit Wear sale has

been extended; you have until midnight on Sunday, Nov 3rd to get your orders in. Check out the stickers,

cross body bags, hats, hoodies and more in the online store. (bit.ly/3YjCsct) Proceeds support the work of the PTA.

In-Person Volunteering: We have many in-person or in-kind volunteering options as well. Read the

Thanksgiving Recess

On Saturday, Girls on the Run celebrated the conclusion of its fall season with a 5K event for all participating schools in Duluth. Over 100 girls, along with their families and friends, ran in the 5K this weekend. Ordean East proudly had a team of 11 students take part. Over the past 8 weeks, these students have not only trained for the 5K but also built confidence and formed lasting friendships along the way.

The Spring Season kicks off the week of April 7, with sign-ups opening in February. If you know someone who might be interested in coaching, they can reach out to Stacey Haynes at haynes.stacey@girlsontherun.org.
