Student Schedules will be visible at 8am on August 12th in the Home Access Center (HAC) and on the "My Schedule" tile in MyKatyCloud. PLEASE SELECT THE VIEW THAT SHOWS THE TEACHER'S ROOM NUMBER.

Parents will receive an email with a link to the update their student's information for the new school year. This is required for all students. Check your email (possibly spam/junk mail) for and email from Katy ISD.
SELECTING CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE
You will select Chromebook Insurance when completing the Annual Student Update
We highly recommend that you "Opt- In" for Chromebook Insurance when completing your student's Annual Student Update. Included is a detailed explanation of the benefits (linked to the Responsible Use Guidelines) and what the "Opt- In" screen will look like when you complete the Annual Student Update.
If you "Opt-in" (YES), the following will display. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
If you "Opt-out" (NO), the following will display.
Class 1:1 Device Insurance Payment
What if I changed my mind and Now I do want to purchase Chromebook Insurance?
Parents registering their students for the 2024-25 school year have the option to select the Class 1:1 Device Insurance Option. This option covers your student’s Chromebook device. All student fees, including the device insurance fee, will be sent to our Pay N’ Go system for payment on August 12th. You will be able to pay your insurance fee at that time.
Please note, this only applies to students in 3rd – 12th grades. For further information, please visit our Pay N’ Go website or for more detailed documentation, please view this Pay N’ Go Student Fee article. If you would like to change your device insurance selection from NO to YES, please email changemyrequest@katyisd.org with your student’s Katy ID, name and campus and we will update your insurance option from NO to YES. Please note, you are only eligible to make this change and pay in full, 30-days after your student’s first day of attendance.

BUS ROUTES & SMART TAG BUS ROUTE TRACKING APP
Parents of Bus Riders: If your student is a bus rider, look for the white route number on the side of the bus when tracking their bus this school year! And make sure to download the Smart tagâ„¢ app from your mobile Google Play Store or Apple App Store!
The Smart Tag app allows parents to set their preferred notifications, including when their child’s bus is expected to arrive. You can also see when and where your student boards and exits the bus.

COUNSELORS- New Alpha Splits for the 2024-2025 School Year
Counselors are divided by alpha last name and serve students from 9th-12th grade. For the 2024-2025 academic year, a few adjustments were made to the counseling alpha split as shown below.
SENIORS and senior parents, please take note as this could affect college applications if you must provide counselor contact information.

TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS
All transcript requests must be completed through Schoolinks. Counselors and Registrars cannot submit transcripts through other channels or direct university links. Additionally, transcripts cannot be submitted to universities at this time, as summer credits have not been awarded.
Official transcripts with updated GPA and Class Rank will be available through Schoolinks beginning on September 1st. If you have placed a transcript request, it will be submitted after September 1st. If you need assistance requesting a transcript through Schoolinks, you may use the Help feature in Schoolinks or contact the College and Career Facilitator.
Letters of Recommendation for Fall of 2024 College Applications
Counselors are looking forward to helping our seniors with their college applications this coming fall! Counselors will be able to start writing letters of recommendation in late August for schools that require a counselor’s letter. Students should not expect letters to be ready before September 15th which is still plenty of time to have applications complete before the earliest deadlines. Seniors may request a letter of recommendation through our online form:

Immunizations
KatyISD Health Services Department
State law requires students in Texas schools to be immunized against certain vaccine preventable diseases or submit required documentation for an exemption. Information below, provided by the Katy ISD Health Services Department, offering an opportunity for students needing to receive the necessary vaccines for school entry.

When: August 8, 9, 12, 13 and 14
Where: Katy ISD – Professional Development Annex Building

Time: 9:00AM – 11:00AM and 2:00PM – 5:00PM
Cost: 1 Vaccine $15; 2 Vaccines $25; 3 Vaccines or more $35
TVI will accept cash, Credit and Debit Card for payment.

The Seven Lakes Cross Country Boys Team has an outstanding tradition of success over the past 19 years with 7 District Team Champions, 8 District Individual Champions, 61 All District performances, 3 Regional Runner Up Teams, 4 Region Team Champions, 3 Region Individual Champions, 18 All Region performances, 187 State Meets, 11 All-State performances, 1 Team State Runner-Up, and 1 Team State champions.
Over the past 19 years, the Seven Lakes Cross Country Girls’ Team has also had an outstanding tradition of success with 6 District Team Champions, 3 District Individual Champions, 53 All District performances, 5 Regional Runner Up Teams, 3 Region Team Champions, 2 Region Individual Champions, 13 All Region performances, 16 State Meets, and 3 All State performances.

PSAT/SAT Seminar
After working with more than 60,000 students across the country over the last 15 years, Sycamore Learning Company designed these 5-hour seminars to help students prepare for the upcoming SAT with specific strategies to maximize scoring on each section of these tests.
The cost for one seminar is only $125 and each seminar includes an extensive study guide that has full-length practice tests with in-depth answer explanations for each question and 5 hours of in-class instruction.
