Thank you so much for all of the gifts, treats and well wishes! Your generosity is appreciated. I love the hand made cards and pictures from students. They are so sweet!
As we enter the holiday season, I am reminded of how truly blessed I am to be here at Davisburg. Every day I am filled with joy by the smiling faces that enter our school. It is exciting to see how the students are learning and growing. I can’t wait to see what is to come! Have a wonderful break.
Happy Holidays!

Parent Outreach Program
Good afternoon Holly Area Schools families,
Today, we want to share with you our December Newsletter. This month there is information about understanding how your childhood impacts how you parent, resources from our Raising a Child with Anxiety and Depression Workshop and Mental Health Resource Fair, how to talk to your kids about alcohol, and more!
Please see the flyer below regarding our upcoming event in partnership with the HAS Early Childhood Programs in December.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community - we hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!
Best,
Cheryl Price and Sydney Sinclair, The Holly Area Schools Parent Outreach Team
Leader in Me & Core Competencies
Core Competency-Responsible Decision Making
Responsible decision-making is the ability to make positive, constructive, safe choices about your behavior and interactions with others. Using this skill includes considering the benefits and consequences of each decision and taking responsibility for the outcomes.
Practicing how to make tough decisions can help children learn how their actions affect others. Give your child a situation and talk through the problem, possible solutions and what could occur with each choice.
Here are a few problem-solving scenarios to get you started:
While playing with your little brother, he accidentally breaks your favorite toy. What do you do next?
You see a new girl playing by herself at recess. What do you say to her?
You’re eating a sugar cookie and your friend asks if he can have a bite. How do you respond?
