Your children are doing a wonderful job to start the school year. Teachers have been investing time teaching routines, procedures, and classroom as well as school-wide expectations. It is such a joy to see our students fully invested and putting forth their best effort. Thank you for your help and support; it truly is a partnership between home and school.
We appreciate your patience during arrival and dismissal times. I'd like to reiterate a few pieces that will help us ensure safety of students and all involved.
- While driving in the kiss and ride loop, please refrain from using your cell phone so we can maintain compliance with the law and ensure safety of all.
- When exiting the kiss and ride loop, it is a RIGHT turn only. Left turns are in violation of the posted sign, increase the risk of an accident, and cause further traffic jams.
- Thank you for staying in your car in the kiss and ride loop so school staff can assist your child in loading.
As a reminder, the school doors open at 7:40 a.m. and all students must be seated in their classroom by 8 a.m. The kiss and ride doors are scheduled to close at 7:58 next week once we have our routine down. There is typically a lull in traffic at about the mid-way point (7:50 or so), so it pays off to arrive earlier.
Continue to look for weekly correspondences from your child's teachers. This will allow us to share with you what your child is learning so you can further support them at home. These will always be shared on Class Dojo, at a minimum.
