We are One Hart, with our goal to make Every Student...Opportunity Ready!
SPRING BREAK IS HERE! NO SCHOOL APRIL 3-7
We have made it to Spring Break and I hope all of our students and families have a chance to enjoy some time off and get recharged for the final push of the school year!
This week was a great week filled with Honor Roll assemblies, Student of the Month, Band Competition, Lunch time Basketball activities and so much more. We have been continuing our message of "Work Hard and Be Kind" as we navigate through our classes and interact with fellow students during brunch and lunch. These 2 skills will serve you well while at La Mesa and even more so in all of your future endeavors. As we come back from Spring Break, let's look to set records of excellence as we finish out this school year and prepare for the next stage of life.
There are so many great opportunities for students and parents listed in this update (including information about next school year and the opportunities available for your student to get involved on campus)
I hope you take the time to read through all of the exciting things happening at La Mesa and Golden Valley!

CAASPP State Testing
Our annual state testing, CAASPP, will be May 8-12.
These are important tests that allow us to determine where our students are at. We look very closely at the data from these tests to help us plan school-wide instruction, intervention, and other supports needed to ensure all students are learning at high levels.
On an individual level, these tests help round out the picture for each student's academic progress. These results, along with grades and teacher input, allow us to know how individual students are progressing academically.
Please support your child and La Mesa by making sure students get a good night's rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time and ready to go each day of testing.
* There will even be raffle prizes for students who have perfect attendance that week!
* Minimum Day on May 10 - Dismissal at 12:15pm
